Excellent folding crate for trips in the car. I can keep a blanket in the crate when I fold it up and store it, that way it is ready to use when I take my dog out and about. I would not use to keep him in unattended because he would probably chew on it, but for transport it is perfect.

Putting together was easy. The only issue is one of the Velcro strips to hold flap up is the wrong spot and wrong direction, and doesn't line up with the strip on the crate.

It was good for a few weeks then our dog was able to tear through/chew through it

This is a really nice dog crate that is very portable. The 2 lower and 2 upper side poles collapse with the push of a button and it folds up into a small square. Super easy to put together as well. This beats having to carry around the heavy metal wire cages on trips. I would say this can hold a small to medium sized dog comfortable. We have a 70 pound golden doodle and it is very cozy for him but he likes closed in spaces. We leave the doors open and he likes to just lay in it. Overall great option for traveling on road trips.

While this kennel is technically foldable and portable, it is not as easy or quick to assemble and will require a moderate amount of strength to do so. Once the frame is assembled, it can be collapsed into a suitcase-style carry-on but it is not a relatively effortless process either. In fact, a traditional collapsible metal cage style kennel collapses and folds a lot faster and easily than this one does. It also doesn't have a waterproof plastic pan bottom like traditional foldable metal kennels do, which makes it a bit more inconvenient to keep a bowl of water in the kennel for your pet (even though the bottom of this kennel is, supposedly, waterproof). HOWEVER, the pros outweigh the cons in several regards. For one, once assembled, the kennel is very lightweight yet sturdy. The fabric is a water resistant canvas with an attractive denim-like look and various zip-up openings, including top of the kennel, to provide multiple access options. The 36 inch length is ideal for my medium-large dog (she fits into but is borderline too snug in a 30-inch kennel and these few extra inches give her a nice, comfortable den-like experience). The kennel fits in the back hatch area of my standard size SUV, so if you want to bring your pet on road trips and have an SUV you may not need to go through the effort of collapsing and reassembling it every time. This can be a good kennel for camping as well, given how lightweight yet sturdy it is. Aside from the moderate hassle that its initial assembly poses, the one true flaw that leads me to make this a 4-star and not a 5-star review is the quality of the zippers. Really wishing they were either metal or a heavier duty quality as they do snag and feel like they could easily break with regular use, wear and tear--or if you have a dog prone to scratching his/her way out of confined spaces. I'm ambivalent about the price point given that the zippers' light-duty grade may not make this product functional for as long as it would be with higher quality ones, or as a more traditional foldable metal kennel would be.

Bought this crate for my puppy to use when at the office and it is great. Sturdy but foldable. Opens on the top, side, and end. Works great!
