This dog life jacket is a good buy! It is very well made from strong materials! There is generous adjustability, and we were able to size it to our Labradoodle for a perfect fit. She loved wearing it! The bold color is perfect for keeping track of her on land, or if she happens to get into the water by accident. The grab handle is, of course, a critical piece of rescue equipment on a dog vest, and this one is comprised of two sturdy straps envelope in a wrap which closes with extremely strong velcro. The floating "chin support" feature is a nice bonus! Every strap is well sewn and every buckle is strong and durable. The only issue you may have is the zipper on top of this vest. It is very well made and strong, it just might be a little difficult to zip up if your dog is a little wiggle butt! It took us a minute to get it zipped up, as she was so excited and wiggling around! This life vest is very much worth the price, and it is an excellent investment in your dog's life safety and ability to share adventures with you.

I will update my review when we've used this in the water.This is great quality, and the fit appears to match the size chart. It is a little on the large size for my 6.5lbs papillon. It is adjustable in multiple ways (with the straps and the sides expanding if needed), so it fits him (with or without his regular harness or anything underneath. We ordered the green xs, and the green is a nice bright green with reflective trim. He let me put it on easily, so that part was great. It has the little part to keep his head above water, which he also likes to chew on a bit. We live on the water, and I paddle board, so if will be nice to have this ready for warmer weather. I'm happy I ordered it and will buy another for his sister pup.

This just arrived today. I was so excited to try this on my dog. I got a puppy in the fall. She is old enough now that I am planning to take her to river, hiking, and kayaking with me. Having a swim vest that was both comfortable and secure was very important. And by secure, I mean both in the water and by lead.Things I liked about this vest:- The underside is covered vs just being straps. I will not have to worry about the straps chaffing or cutting into her underside as she plays. This looks much more comfortable than having strap directly against her underside.-Chin rest. the chin rest is small, it does not jut out so far it should irritate her. However it will give her a bit more buoyancy as she learns to swim, or starts tiring while in the water.-The handle - I am sure she will fall off the kayak at least a few times. And depending on how much she likes water, maybe jump in also. This should be helpful in getting her back on without me going off myself. If she likes the water well enough, I will likely take her on some river floats too. I will definitely need a handle for those as she takes turns swimming and floating down the river with us (going by what my other friends' dogs do).-The back zipper - I prefer a life vest for myself that zips vs overlaps since it fits more comfortably. Should help with fit and comfort for my dog also.-D Rings - I can securely latch her leash onto this vest. She won't get swept away by river current or run off trying to meet other people or pets.Dislikes-the 4 ft double latch leash did not come in the package as advertised. I will contact the seller about this. I will update this review if received. Since it did not come in the package, I could not test whether I could pick her up and hold her this way as advertised.

This lifejacket was acquired for my aging medium-sized dog. She's the doggie love of my life, so I need to provide her with all of the safety and enjoyment I possibly can for the time she and I have left with each other. If this lifejacket wasn't well-made and a super visible color, I wouldn't use it for her. I chose this lifejacket due to the extra chin support that would assist my girl in keeping her muzzle up out of the water if she were to get especially tired. I really like the way this lifejacket is constructed.
