These nail clippers are great for at-home pet grooming. The stainless steel blades cut cleanly through the nails, unlike some clippers that squish the nail flat first, causing a dog undue distress. The built-in LED light highlights the nails, making it a little easier to discern where the quick begins. With care, this light helps reduce the risk of painful over-cutting. There's also an included nail file that helps smooth any rough edges for a more polished finish.While these clippers work well on my little 7-lb dog, I suspect that they may not work quite as smoothly on larger dogs with larger nails, since the opening seems a bit too restrictive for extra thick nails.My little yorkiepoo unfortunately has black nails, making their trimming extra challenging. I definitely agree with the suggestion to trim each nail a little bit at a time to ensure that you don't cut into the quick. The LED light is a huge benefit, but even with the light, it's a little bit difficult to see the exact spot where the nail ends and the quick begins.I really like the whimsical banana-shape and bright yellow color, making them easy to find among other grooming implements.Overall, I'm pleased with the look, feel, and performance of these cute pet nail clippers.

First off, I am so oblivious , I had no idea these were in the shape of a banana so when I got the box and it said banana on it, I thought I got the wrong package. These clippers are great. I love having the different lights to help see the quik of the nail. The clippers were easy to use and very sharp. I liked that they include a nail file and that it’s stored inside the clippers so it doesn’t get lost. May dog hates getting his nails cut but he wasn’t scared of these even after I already used them on him. I highly recommend these!

Great size for our small 3-10lbs dogs. They have small nails but, not tiny. We were having a difficult time finding something we didn't think would lop off a toe. We found this and it's a good fit for our needs. It offers a light, nail guard and even a stow-away file. Fun ascetic/theme. The batteries are easy to get to and change. They clippers are easy for a small adult hand to use. It is easy to hold on to. The materials used feel.durable and the product well made. The clippers are fully functional and fun. We highly recommend this set to others.

This set caught my eye because it looked really solid. I needed a new sharp pair of clippers so I gave this set a try. Upon receiving them, I was a wee bit disappointed because the handles don't seem as tough as the item looked in pictures. However, there are several features that are better than a standard set. The light on the end is so helpful, for me it is enough to actually help ne are my dog's nails and to feel confident that I'm not clipping too short. The light on the opposite end is just a little extra, to get a good idea of where to cut before you even place the clipper and make the individual cut. The blade is very sharp and makes a clean cut on each nail. They're worth the money for the extra features.

They work as advertised. I have 3 main issues with these which is why I only gave it 3 stars. 'First, they feel "clunky". The handles are too big and awkward to hold. Trying to hold a cat while using these was troublesome.Second, the light is only on one side. If you are holding the cat alone, it is hard to position so you can see the vein in the cat's nail with the light. Would have been better if they included an additional light on the other side of the blades so you can see the vein if you are cutting solo or with an assistant.Thirdly, the batteries are 3 small "coin" type batteries. Would have been nicer if they used a single AA or AAA battery so it can be easily replaced. The handles are already fat so they could have easily made this change and it would have justified the handle size, but with the coin style batteries, its just weird.Overall, they do cut decently and the shroud does capture most of the clippings for disposal after. Its not a bad set of clippers but can be improved upon.

These dog nail clippers are super nice and well designed! I love the built in flashlight at the clipper head and another on the back, making it easy to see while trimming. It comes with a file and even catches the nails as they’re cut. The quality is excellent, and they’re super easy to use. I like lock for safety. Highly recommend these!

I use this to clip the nails on my 13 lb chihuahua mix. Before I got these, I was using the basic blue clippers everyone seems to have. This set of clippers, in addition to being in the cool shape of a banana, offer some important improvements over basic clippers:* It features two LED lights serving different important functions. The main LED is shining directly at the blades, so you can very clearly see the part of the nail you are about to cut. The other LED light is at the end of the handle, and according to the brief instructions, is a violet light that can be used to detect fungus and ringworm. I will have to read more about that as it's not something I'm familiar with. But the main LED Is really an amazing feature.* It features a clear clip collection compartment, so that the pieces of cut nail don't fly off randomly as they tend to do. There's a little tab on the compartment you can use to open it to empty it out.* It includes a manual file, which is stored in one of the handles.I really like these clippers. If you have to buy some, it's definitely worthwhile to get some that have the very useful LED light. It makes clipping the correct part of the nail so much easier. The other extra features, like the violet light, the clip compartment, and the built in file, are definitely added benefits! I never imagined a set of pet nail clippers could have so many well-integrated features.
