How to train your dog with POSHAF dog whistle:
Prepare some treats, lead your dog to a lawn, or somewhere quiet.
Adjust the pitch and blow the whistle to train your dog, continue testing until your dog responds.
Notice your dog's reaction to each setting until your dog exhibits the strongest reaction.
It is best to train 5-6 times per session, reward your dog with a treat If it responds positively.
Some tips: ""Don't move"" ------- Two short sounds, ""Sit down""--------- one long and one short, ""Over""--------- Two long sounds.
For example :
When teaching the sit-down action, first play the flute according to the prescribed method, then hold the dog's buttock with your hand and let him sit down.
In this way, repeat the training. Later, when the flute is played, the dog will sit down by himself.

Not ultra sonic. People can hear it thru full adjustment range. Dogs did not react.Could work to call the von Trapp children.

Not only are the whistles not ultrasonic/silent (I have average hearing at best, and can hear them quite clearly), but the dog doesn’t stop barking at all when I use them, and doesn’t even seem to notice their sound. Don’t waste your money on these.

To be honest is a pain in the ears for humans and doesn't seem to have any effect on dogs.

If I could give zero stars, I would. These whistles aren’t ultrasonic, are poorly made, and 100% DO NOT work. Don’t waste your money

The cheapest things I have ever held; air leaks straight through them, they make no noise at all, the dogs obviously ignore them completely. Do not bother spending money on these, they will go straight into the landfill.

I bought this because my neighbor is a bad dog owner and never walks her dog. The dog barks all the time - so I return the favor by blowing this whistle every time he barks. It makes him bark more and so the other neighbors get annoyed and then we all yell at the bad dog owner. Then she brings the dog inside and life is good for a few hours. Note: this is not a silent whistle. You will clearly hear a shrill whistle when you blow it so people will have an idea of where the whistle noise is coming from.

This whistle looks good but is completely ineffective. Our last whistle got my dogs attention and stopped a behavior or allowed us to practice commands. This seems to be a nuisance at best and an ineffective training tool.
