I got the original one and it had a hole in it so I Got a new one sent out and it had the same exact hole. The quality control from this brand seller is nonexistent 0/5 if I could, will not buy again.

I purchased this from another seller but saw a review on this one mentioning a hole while researching and had to come back to give some clarity to others researching these aftermarket chain covers now that I've seen it myself.the review I am referring to said "I got the original one and it had a hole in it so I Got a new one sent out and it had the same exact hole."the hole they are referring to actually exists in the OEM part, and allows oil to flow towards the high pressure fuel pump piston/follower. the oil going through that hole is going to the same place as the large hole below it, nothing to be concerned about.additionally I verified the pathways for the exhaust cam adjuster by spraying some brake cleaner through them, everything matches the OEM part except the weight. this is clearly a lighter casting but shouldnt really be a problem.the mating surface that gets a steel gasket is very smooth and the guide/keeper pins are present, and easy to remove if desired.regarding the gasket keeper/guide pins on either side of the cover, I recommend test fitting this cover to your engine without a gasket (not screwed in, just hold in place by hand) and see if you can get it to sit flush all the way around. I couldn't. Either the front or rear guides would set in place properly, never both. I had to remove the rear one and then it sat flush. now installed with a VW gasket I have no concern it will leak.

I ordered this reading the description multiple times making sure it came with the gaskets needed and such. The description reads that all needed gaskets are included. I open my package, I see the cover and no gasket. I came back and re read the description and yes it still reads that it comes with gasket. I double check the box and nope no gasket.
