If the switch does not work:

  1. Turned off the car.
  2. Unplug the new switch and reinsert it again.

Attention:

  1. Plug in a new switch under full stop condition.
  2. Clean the dust off the plug and the connector before installing a new switch.
  3. Following the requirements to make sure window switches are fully functional. Otherwise, the window may have problems moving up and down. The up & down motor drive might even become damaged.

Tips:

  1. Do NOT spill water on the car door because any water seeping in can lead to internal short circuiting.
  2. Do NOT put anything in the car window gap. Doing so may cause the window to become stuck, and unable to be lifted up or down. Moreover, the pressure will be transmitted to, and damage the lift motor.

I bought this for the passenger side door lock/unlock button for my 2001 Ford Ranger truck. It worked perfectly and looks just like the original toggle switch.

I ordered the power lock switch for my 1997 Ford Ranger XLT. The passenger side lock switch is bad. The locks would lock and unlock on their own, causing the alarm to go off. I had to pull the power lock fuse out to stop that. This switch is of OEM quality and fit perfectly and has solved the issue. A good value.
