The part was the right length, however the receiver was missing the spline. This means that the service tech must rely on their own sense of torque to apply enough torque to make a proper spline engagement without eventually splitting the receiver. The other alternative is to send it back and possibly get one with the same issue or go without a wiper in that position.

This is the same quality part they sold at O'Rileys. Buying it on Amazon saved me about $70. Will definitely buy car parts like this again from Amazon. Easy to install.
