Fits perfectly! Just like OEM, but better!

Perfect fit for my 1989 Jeep Comanche. The tubes that connect to the hoses have larger flanges than the stock reservoir did. This made it a little more difficult to get the hoses back on but once on, they were way more secure than before.

They fit perfect in my 1990 jeep Cherokee definitely would buy an extra just to have they tend to blow up if you beat on her to hard

The bottle holds up, it’s easy to install and fits where the original goes, no problem. The hoses and everything good connections as the neck on each tube is long and allows hose clamps to fit snug. However: the actual cap warped from heat and the threaded neck also warped pretty bad. Had to find a cap at the junkyard that was thicker material and fit more snug.

If you drive/own one of these classic original SUV's, you'll need a FEW of these bottles over your years of ownership. This Dorman bottle looks like original OEM and comes with a slightly improved 16 pound pressure cap having brass and stainless internal plates and a conventional spring inside. The WASHER is durable neoprene instead of foam.Bottle comes with a "Limited Lifetime Warranty" so you'll get a big savings over a few years if you buy a couple! The price at Amazon is hard to deny, it's a fantastic choice!Owner/User Experience: Wrap a 2" diameter stainless steel heavy duty hose clamp around the cap for perfect fit.

Worked great for my 1989 Jeep Comanche 4.0. the coolant tanks on older 4.0 Jeeps are notorious for leaking like a sieve after a short time. My Comanche mostly sits in the garage since it's in extremely good shape, but so far, so good. These are cheap enough that you might as well buy a few to keep on hand. The 4.0 with the closed cooling system is getting pretty dated, you never know when they'll stop making these.

I have a 1987 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L. I have owned this Jeep for about 21 years. It has been a very dependable vehicle with over 300,000 miles on it. The only constant problem is the coolant reservoir. I have had the minimum six reservoirs in this vehicle. I was getting them from the dealer at first but they changed venders and the cap would strip out. I went through three of them in a year and gave up. I then got an after-market and it lasted about two years and had to replace it twice. I then modified a Volvo reservoir as it was a close match. It worked for about four years and blew when I was out of town. I replaced it with another after market and it let go after a year or so. When I received this reservoir it looks and feels heavier than the other after-market reservoirs, and has a brass insert in the top fitting to help keep the plastic from crushing when you tighten the clamp and it gets hot. The cap screws on tight and seals well, has a very positive fit to reservoir. Now the time test begins.
