Dorman changed their design from a one piece to a separate wiring side plug, they copied the problem with the factory Ford gasket. Common problem with Dorman quality of wire insulation is so poor I can’t recommend these. Wire length was incorrect on one cylinder

01 F350 7.3 powerstroke. These fit exactly as you would expect them to. When I installed these I went ahead a did the 50 cent mod to make sure the harness doesn't disconnect under the valve cover. 50 cents is pretty cheap Insurance.

had to remove the zip ties so I could have enough wire to attach the glow plugs and injector wires. Also the clips would not hold the injector plug on each injector. Had to use my old ones to attach the injector plugs.

The Asian one I had for about an year was already starting to leak oil by the connector. The previous Dorman one did not over 5 years. Worth the little more you paid for!

I was skeptical to say the least but I purchased 2 to replace driver and passenger side (the same gasket fits either side). I was really sold because there is no inner connector on the valve cover gasket. They have been on 2 weeks and are not leaking at all.I think alot of people have problems with these gaskets that are not related to the gasket themselves.1- If the valve covers are leaking it could be from the valve covers being warped.2- The torque spec is 96 in pounds, so just snug the bolts. Over tightening causes leaks from damage to the gaskets.3- Once gasket is replaced and putting on valve cover, be very sure the wires are pushed down to the inside of the gasket or they will be pinched and damaged causing bad injector and/or glow plug readings.When I was changing my driver's side I found the wiring harness was melted and thankfully each valve cover comes with a new wiring harness. Dorman includes instructions to match up the wiring color codes to the OEM harness (it is different). Cut, strip, solder, heat shrink, aluminum tape and electrical tape, and done. Again, very skeptical but works great.End result is my expectations were met and I would recommend. Better price, better design, and had them in 2 days.It is now 07AUG21. Gaskets are still great. No leaks and wiring harness is still working.It is now 07DEC22. No leaks and no problems.It is now 05MAR23. Still no problems. Everything is working great.13DEC23 still no problems or leaks. I have removed once for cracked injector cups. Went back on no problems, no leaks. I have had 2 friends use this and one gasket has failed for each friend. It is because on install they pinched the injector/glow plug wires between the gasket and motor, so when they tightened the bolts on the valve cover, the wires were destroyed. On the OEM design the wires are a separate part so this is not as much of an issue.There is a YouTube video on the specific pinch point of the gasket and how to make sure you move the wires.

Nice product, but I'm not sure why I thought it would come as a set, I guess to me it's the way it should be, why change only 1? And $40 a piece would be fair deal, but then again that is me!
