It will work just fine. It's built to near the quality of the oem one, but not better.IMO, Dornan should have made a revised version of this part to correct the known issues.. like oil leaking through the plug, and the connector pins burning out. But that's just my opinion. No complaints on quality, very nice direct replacement part. Nice to have new pigtails too!

These valve cover gaskets fit each side of the engine, so order 2 for both valve covers. The wiring harness pigtail is a great troubleshooting addition. One can use the wiring harness pig tail to check the glow plug and injector coil resistance. Outer leads are glow plug (~0.5 Ohm), next to outer are each injector (~2.5 Ohms), and center wire is the injector common wire. So far no leaks, it is the long run that will give the results. Be careful during install, use light to make sure no wiring or anything else is under the gasket win putting the valve cover on.

Had concerns about using Dorman instead of factory, but so far so good. The design is actually much better than original, as the inside connector, a common failure point, is totally eliminated. In terms of quality of materials- at the time of writing harness is approximately 27 months old with 28722 km, and no problems so far.

I have a 96 F250 7.3 Diesel. Dorman is known for not having their wiring match the factory wiring on their valve covers. You might have to test each connector to connect to your engines wiring harness. After checking mine and ensuring all the wiring was correct, my engine still threw codes and shook and vibrated when driving and idled rough. Finally, I replaced the valve cover with Motorcraft (even though is was 2x the cost) but she ran smooth and no issues. Always go with Motorcraft on these trucks.

Looks just like the OEM fit was great. Hopefully it will not need to be replaced anytime soon. they are a PIA to do.

330,000 miles and the connector finally shorted out. (common thing) Cut and splice one wire at a time.Started first time, easy peasy .

Just a note as to my mechanical experience. I have been repairing cars including complete engine rebuilds since I was in high school in the '60s. I bought these over the OEM because of the lower price. They have worked out so far, but I have concerns about the weak retaining springs that clip the connector to the injectors under the valve cover. I was reluctant to install them because of this. It is no easy job to remove the valve covers if there is a problem because of all the other stuff you need to remove to even get to the valve covers. When I did install these I did a test to see how well the springs held. Most were good, but a few popped off without much effort, not a good thing on a diesel engine that vibrates! I had to reshape those that came off easily to ensure as much as possible that they would not come loose. The springs are thinner than the factory ones and this is not the place to cut corners. This is my main negative on these gaskets. I would have gladly paid more for better quality gaskets. Should I have to replace these gaskets if the future I will likely bite the bullet and buy factory gaskets rather than risk a problem.

I've read bad reviews from people who seem to like factory parts or nothing. These looked fine to me and I've been working on cars and trucks professionally for 30+ years. They eliminate the factory's flaw which they had to redesign in the late 90s. They seem well built, don't leak and run great for miles now. I wouldn't think twice about recommending them. I've probably installed 8 pairs of these on various trucks with zero issues.

These are excellent low cost replacements, the only issue I had with them was the metal clips that hold the injector connector into the injector. They are thinner than OEM and bent a little different. I recommend that you swap the OEM clips from your old wiring harness to the new one. the under valve cover harness is made into the gasket, unlike OEM which is removable. I can see pluses and minuses to the design.

A good OEM style replacement that fit well including the internal wiring. A bonus included is 4 spare pigtails which allow you to replace damaged connectors from the main engine harness. I didn't think I needed them until the last connector was burnt away on the outside pins which control the 2 glow plugs for that circuit. It explained the hard starts I was having. Everything starts normally now. A good product that does what it's supposed to do.
