If you're building a custom drip irrigation system, this is perfect to help navigate all those special situations you'll find yourself in. So far, all the parts I've used have worked perfectly and allowed me to setup everything as I needed. Even the nozzles and valves are working perfectly. Get it, just for those times when you need that extra part you forgot to buy.

"The orange handle pops off whether the valve is open or closed. I'm getting around a 50% failure rate 2 weeks after installation. Will not buy again obviously.

Works well with the tube, to water and irrigate the plants and grass. Easy to install and use. I like the many different attachments and quite durable.

I ordered this pack of JOYPRO 1/4" Drip Irrigation Valves, 40 Pcs Drip Irrigation Shut Off Switch Valve for 1/4 Inch Drip Irrigation Tubing, Water Flow Control Valve Drip Line Cut Off Valve for Drip Sprinkler Garden Systems to use in my vegetable garden.I try to have enough plantings going to keep myself in fresh herbs and vegetables for most of the year. That means that sometimes a spot will have a very small plant going while others will have large plants and some will be "vacant" and waiting for the next planting. Instead of trying to reconfigure my drip system each time this happens, I got the idea to basically carpet my vegetable bed with drippers and then use valves to turn unused or unneeded drippers off. These shut off valves make that possible. The valves themselves get inserted into a 1/4 drip line between the water source and the dripper. It's a simple twist to turn the valve on or off. The valves are relatively fragile (it's not hard to snap the valve handle off) so you'd do best to warm your tubing before trying to wrangle it on to the valve. When fully open, these valves do not restrict the water flow. When fully closed, no water flows to the dripper and there is no water seepage from the valve. While I suppose you could use these to control the amount of water going to a dripper, that is not what they are designed to do and the adjustments would be difficult to calibrate.

I recently installed a drip irrigation system and these work much better than the end caps that were provided with my system.

The key to these are the lock-nuts that hold the drip line securely onto the barb(s). It is simply a better solution than the old style connectors. I used four stars on the ease of installation categories because none of the 1/4 inch connectors that I have run across over the years connects "easy peasy." That being said, these are no worse than the older versions, although you do have to thread the locknut onto the drip line BEFORE you attach the drip line tot he barb. Once you get used to it, tis a snap!

Winged end caps are easier to apply.
