I was looking for a somewhat smaller sewing box from the one I had had for years. This new Dritz one is about 2/3 the size of my previous full-size box. It doesn't fit the largest scissors, but that's OK. The plastic shelf insert is sturdy. The design on the outside is really cute. It fits enough spools of thread to be perfectly adequate. A super-sewer might find it too small. I like how the basket lid clasps soundly, I think with a magnet. Frankly, it was just what I was looking for -- a somewhat downsized, fresh version of my fuller-sized old box. I am extremely pleased with it.
