Unlike the calipers they replaced these release when I take my foot off the break. Seem like good quality.

My 40 year old Bendix calipers were binding. Could only rebuild one of two. Could not find an economical Bendix replacement. The Drivestar calipers are a copy of the more common ATE brand calipers supplied by Mercedes Benz.Don't mix and match caliper brands. If one caliper has failed, replace them as a set.You will know that your calipers are going bad if one pad wears more quickly than the other. It means that the piston on that side is not retracting when you release the brake pedal.They can sometimes be rebuilt. But after this experience, I'd be inclined to simply replace old calipers with Drivestars rather than attempt to rebuild them. The price is right.

Just received it and it looks like a very nicely build caliper. I have not driven the car yet, but will report back once I do. So far so good

These are ATE style front calipers for a w123 chassis. They seem to be solidly built and fit perfectly, and OE ATE hardware springs and pins also fit perfectly. (Didn't come with hardware) I've been driving on them for a week now with no issues. I'd consider these the best value for the money if you're not willing to buy new OE Mercedes calipers. EDIT: I've been driving on these for about a year now and haven't had any issues! They're still just as smooth and responsive as when I put them in, and they haven't sprung any leaks
