This is my first experience with this type of "sandpaper," and I am thoroughly impressed. It can be adapted into shapes that traditional sandpaper can't achieve, and it is so much more durable than paper-backed varieties. I wish I had known about these a long time ago because I wouldn't have had to spend so much money on outdated and less durable options.

They sand fine, but they basically break in half when you bend them, the grit wears off very quickly. I don’t recommend. I just went back to the little bit more expensive Diablo brand, they are flexible and it takes a very long time to lose their grit.

I bought these to use for sanding gesso that had been applied to wood; the gesso provides the surface to paint on. Gesso tends to clog other types of sandpapers. These mesh sandpapers don't clog nearly as often and they get uneven surfaces very well.

I use this for hand-sanding knives after I am done forging them. I can only say this, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE! So velcro and I can cut it to the right size on my sanding sticks, it cuts like a hot knife through butter, it lasts probably 4-6 times longer than a conventional sheet and the last and best of all of these my wife does not tell me I look like I have been working in a coal mine all day after using it.I am done with regular abrasive paper and this is all I am using for it from now on out.

This is much better than traditional sandpaper, it is easy to clean when clogged and does not ware off like sandpaper does, plus, it does perfectly fit my battery powered Dewalt sander (DCW200B). No need to poke holes for the dust collection anymore, thanks to the mesh structure and it lasts very long.

I used these on my pen turning lathe and they were just fine. The fact that they don't load up with sawdust is important. Just remember to wear a dust mask to keep your throat and lungs from contamination by the fine dust. There may be times when you need a higher grit count since these go up to only 600, but for the majority of sanding these are quite good. I cut mine into strips of about 1.5 inches and use them while the lathe is spinning.

the only issue i have with this is that its kind of hard to hold on to - the fabric is flexible and thin, so sanding back and forth is hard, kind of like using a towel as a rug. great for tight, curved spaces so i rotate it with regular sand paper. the hook and look is fantastic and its still holding after many many change outs
