This fountain worked well. I hooked up a 9400 gph pump to it and it shoots about 8 feet in the air. You will need to get a couple 1 1/2 to 2 inch adapters from local hardware store since most pumps are 1 1/2 inch connection and this is a 2 inch fitting on fountain. I bought 1 1/2 inch 24ft plastic hose from Tractor Supply.Also keep in mind this fountain is very noisy. The float is just styrofoam with a plastic case over the top, so when the water hits it on the way down it sounds hollow, almost like banging on a hollow trash can or drum. I have to figure out a way to disperse the water so it is not so noisy. I put everything together for around $320 including pump, and have a fountain that shoots 8 feet in the air. Other fountains that large cost anywhere from $800-$1200.
