About this item

  • Front pad set
  • Ideal for lighter sport compacts
  • Reduces heat fade
  • Improves stopping power
  • Minimal dusting

EBC Greenstuff is a high friction based pad compound designed to improve stopping power on sport sedans and prestige cars for on highway use. The Greenstuff range emits less dust than equivalent semi metallic pads and has been proven in tests to stop a vehicle 20 feet sooner than using stock pads. Pads are fully shimmed chamfered and slotted for silent braking and feature the EBC brake-in surface coating to accelerate pad bed in after install. Greenstuff pads are for spirited street driving, for heavier faster cars see EBC Redstuff or for track and race use see EBC Yellowstuff and new EBC Bluestuff.

Brake pads are well made and stop really well, probably even better than the OEM ones. They came with a lube and metal shims, but without they brackets so be sure to clean yours or buy new ones.Brake in period, as expected, was loud and dusty, but after a few days everything was perfect up to this day.If you are installing these pads make sure to buy new rotors as well or resurface your old ones. I didn’t and my brakes make squaring noises sometimes because of it. They still stop the car well though. All in all, I recommend this product as it is on par or even exceeds the OEM brake pads!

Installed in our 2008 Honda Civic at 52k miles - These EBC Green pads have a sandpaper-like coating on them that gently resurfaces the discs over the first 50 miles (brake gently!). After that, they offer more braking power than the stock pads.I can definitely feel the difference. There is much more initial bite, and after that they are just stronger throughout.Be aware that, because of the "Disc re-surfacing coating", there will be a lot of brake dust for a while after installation of these pads. The EBC Green pads came with 4 new pads, 4 stick-on shims, instructions, and a mirror tag (advising the owner to brake gently for the first 50 miles).

These worked flawlessly on my 2001 Civic. They worked even without turning my rotors and those things were pretty uneven. The amount of stopping power greatly increased over the worn out rotors.

ONLY HAS ONE WHEEL WARNING METAL. IF THE CALIPER IS DAMAGE ON THE OTHER SIDE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A WARNING METAL, YOU DON'T HAVE A WAY OF KNOWING THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG UNTIL THE PADS ARE WORN OUT AND HAVE A METAL TO METAL CONTACT WITH THE ROTOR. THIS WILL DAMAGE THE ROTOR.

really good brakes overall. way better then anything at discount auto parts store. stops with little effort but doesn't last as long. must be due to being a softer pad. worth the money for a quality product.

Bought these brakes last year for my '08 Civic 4-DR and I must say I am impressed with the stopping power on the brakes. Very great results. If your trying to upgrade from OEM brakes these are the ones! The only downfall to these brakes, the company states that it reduces less brake dust, but its the opposite! It creates alot of brake dust in the beggining. But once they have been broken in you dont get as much!

These pads seem to be very high quality, but I just can't get over the amount of dust they produce. I am using EBC Ultimax rotors with Greenstuff pads on my '02 Civic Si. After following the break-in instructions, the pads have 1,200 miles of combined, but mostly city driving. The amount of dust has decreased slightly, but is somewhere between two to three times as much as the Satisfied GranSport 6 pads these replace. I miss the aggressive initial bite the Satisfied pads gave, but these feel as good otherwise. The fun is gone now that I try to drive slowly to avoid the mess on my white, spoked wheels (the front wheels get dirty after 45-50 miles of easy combined driving now). If I buy EBC pads again, it will be Redstuff for the lower dust.8/26/12 Update: After a couple more months of driving, the pads have produced less dust than when I wrote my initial review. The pads are still at the bottom end of what I consider acceptable, but I'm glad they have improved. Otherwise, I am happy with these pads.
