About this item

  • Lowest dust pad in range
  • Ideal European vehicle brake upgrade
  • High friction low heat fade
  • Great for fast street and premium sedan
  • Easy installation

Low dust EBC Redstuff is a superb pad for fast street use and targets high HP imports, muscle cars and prestige european cars. EBC Redstuff ceramic pads reduce dust emitted by OEM pads by approx 80 percent. Redstuff pads also reduce rotor wear so that rotors and pads last longer whilst delivering great brake performance. For optimum lifetime in track use EBC still recommend drivers to upgrade to their Yellowstuff or even the new Bluestuff range but if fast street is what you need, EBC Redstuff Ceramic is the pad to choose.

Bought these for my 2008 bmw z4 and spent my time on my day off just to find out they dont fit! Luckily I work on my cars myself if you took your car to a shop you might be paying labor charges for nothing!

Better than OEM. A lot less break dust than OEM. But they squeak early in the morning when backing out.

Best upgrade from stock pads you'll ever make, I run only EBC's on every single one of my vehicles

I installed these on my 2005 M3. After the initial break in (a little more than 700 miles until they stopped squeaking) they are working wonderfully. There is far far less dust than the stock pad as well. Your rims will thank you.Keep in mind that you should not turn BMW rotors, and if there is any lip at all on the rotor it will take a little longer to break them in. If the rotors are under spec you should definitely replace them. This makes for a longer lasting brake anyway.

I got these pads for my 2003 X5 3.0i (rear). Where to begin... Basically after installing these pads the car started making a VERY LOUD squeal when braking. So loud I was not only embarrassed, but actually thought it might be doing damage due to vibration. After going online I noticed that there are A LOT of people saying they have the same issue, but most said it's temporary and lasts about 500 miles. Hey, come on! Brakes should not do this - not even for a mile! it is totally unacceptable for brakes to be that loud, ever! But I decided to give them 1000 miles just to be sure. But they kept squealing, they never stopped - even after 1000 miles. After removing the pads I can safely say I know the cause of the noise. The shams (or shims), whatever, are so cheap - almost like duct tape on the back of the pads. I didn't really notice putting them on, but obviously now knowing they are so loud it is simply the material and the cut out shape of the shims. You can literally peel this cheap material off, but the pressure of the calipers will just tear or wear them to the point they don't work. Most brakes that are good have plastic shims that cover most of the back of the pad, to ensure there is no noise. But these barely have any duct tape on the back, they just don't cover the full area that they need to, plus the material just isn't very good.Bottom line: I paid 100$ for pads that were so loud I couldn't stand it! I don't care how good they stop, how clean they keep the wheels, ect. If EBC cant spend a nickel (or however much the typical plastic shims cost) to get them to be quiet they are no good. I replaced them with Wagner pads (Semi-Metalic) for half the price, and they are dead silent; wish they were Ceramic, but OEM says Semi-Metallic anyway. Also I sent an email to EBC - no response. Their website is a joke. So this seems like a mom and pop shop, don't trust your brakes to these guys!! I would give them negative stars if I could! Nobody likes to redo brakes because the pads are too loud!
