My horse is just under 15 hands and is very short backed. It’s been a challenge to find a pad that will fit his small stature. This pad is the one!

I already owned two of these when I bought 2 additional ones here. They are a quality product. I wash mine after each use using cold water on a delicate cycle, and then air dry them in a climate controlled tack room. My only caution is that these pads take over 24 hours to dry, so if used one day and then washed, the pad will not be ready for use the following day. I intend to reserve the 2 new pads for competitions only, since I have found that after a year of weekly use and washing they do lose their brilliant whiteness.

I loved the idea of sticky plus the ability to handle concussions whilst riding. Did the product do this? It did! Now for the bad: I bought this over another brand/competitior to save some money. That was a bad idea. After 15 rides the pad is failing apart. The foam is detached on the cantle area and it developed an awesome hole somehow. See photos. I’m not hard on my tack, in fact it’s stored in a locker after every ride. Stored on proper holders and not allowed on the ground or anywhere where an angry animal can chew on it. My other pads like expensive Mattes are decades old with hundreds of rides and hand wash; even my cheap sp/Dover brand are going strong 5-6 years later. This pad sadly is not there. My recommendation spend the extra money and get the competitors product - which I’m going to do now.
