As a spare part to have in case of breakage of scraper on Ego snow shovel. Concrete sidewalks joints chip edges on shovel head.

My original scraper bar was well worn on the "left" edge. The wear had started to get to the frame of the snow shovel's impeller area. This scraper is key to protecting the frame. My Ego snow shovel is 2 years old and I've used it quite a bit...so 1.5-2 years for a scraper blade if using on sidewalks and driveway(cement).Install was 6 screws, 4 in the main scraper area, one on each end. All came out and went back in with the new scraper just fine. My scraper also came with new screws so now I have extra.

The fins on the original scraper bar were very thin and spaced out. I am glad they improved by making them stiffer and adding additional fins. EGO does seem to improve their tools, and even consumable parts from time to time. Also, I was not able to find this item until I tried Amazon recently (I could not locate it from the EGO parts links. The supplier had it on back-order indefinitely).

I cracked mine on some bricks and a piece was missing so I was always leaving a trail where the piece was gone. a few screws later and it's like brand new.
