Damaged Paint on Hood and also damage seals of the hood

This one actually fits quite snug. Go slow and take your time! As you go, close and re-open the hood. Really look around at the fitment. The pyramid looking spacers can actually go either way...base down on the hood, or base up under the guard. I wanted to put them base down with 2-sided tape between them and the hood. Then I carefully drilled through the bug guard into the top of the pyramid and screwed-in tiny 1/4" long screws (with washers). This was to help hold the guard down in high winds. It was my experience with the 2022 model that, at freeway speeds, the guard would vibrate. Fitment is superb. No vibration detected. No holes need to be drilled. It went onto a 2024 Tundra. Fairly easy install if you have any mechanical inclination at all. The box this thing comes in is big... but then it's a strangenly shaped item.

The install took less time than the instruction said, and YouTube helped.

We got this to see if we could eliminate some of the bugs we were catching on the windshield. This adds just enough air lift to get those pesky bugs over the top of the truck and keep them off the windshield. The color matches our truck beautifully!Overall, I would rate this a 10 out of 10 so far!

This is a very nice quality product, but it only mounts above the headlights and with some clamps that have to go over the hood. All across the front between the headlights, you have to use small rubber cones that are adhered to the paint. I've had them fall off easily in routine washing and had to glue them back on with weather strip glue. Unfortunately, all the other options for bug deflectos are just stuck on with tape. If you're ok with the installation method on this one, you'll be happy with it.

It was hard to determine from the reviews of this product whether or not to purchase it. I gave it a chance and so far I’m pleased.I’d like to respond to several of the prior comments made regarding this product.Firstly, this is NOT one of the hood deflectors that you stick to your vehicle with 3M tape. This requires 4 brackets that attach to the vehicle to hold the deflector above the hood of the vehicle. Very easily, the two larger brackets are placed in the center of the deflector and utilize holes which are already in your hood. The smaller brackets are compression brackets and attach to the sides of the deflector.Secondly, I found this to be extremely easy to install. Total time invested was less than 10 minutes. Fits great, looks great, and seems to be of high quality.Lastly, there was a comment regarding taking it into a car wash. I can report that immediately after the install I took my truck to the car wash and did not have an issue. Will see if that holds true a few washes later. Am concerned with the vibration of the deflector during drying. That said, the bushings did keep it from flapping all over.

The the overall appearance of the product is good, and once I have it installed, I am somewhat satisfied. However, the instructions were crap. First off they told me to put the rubber bumpers on the hood, but the illustration clearly shows them adhered to the back of the bug shield. The second item is there are six holes drilled in the bug shield, and only four clips are included in the parts bag. I found two longer clips, to shorter clips, four washers, and three screws. Being that I am somewhat handy I supplied the extra screw and the double adhesive foam tape so my paint would not get scratched, however, if someone would’ve installed this without the anti-scratch, tape between the metal clip in the metal hood most certainly there would be paint, chip edge, and/or scratching now to drive it and figure out what I’m going to put in those extra holes if I do put anything.

This item was rushed to market and has a very poor design. The design allows wind to flow over and under the hood guard. As other reviews have highlighted, it vibrates very loudly and strikes the hood of the vehicle when driving on the highway. This is because there are no stable brackets to stop the vibrations. They supply rubber stoppers that fit under the part supposedly to stop the vibrations. Use caution because these will only create rub marks through your clear coat and eventually the paint. Not worth installing on a 50-70 thousand dollar vehicle.
