Your cart is empty.Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That master piece is then used to create a mould master. Once the mould master is created we use our high density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, light weight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high density urethane and not vacuum formed, "plastic" type medallions. - Medallions can be cut using standard woodworking tools to add a hole for electrical or a ceiling fan canopy. - Medallions are light weight for easy installation. - They are fully primed and ready for your paint. excellent product. Used it on a ceiling attic entryway which stuck out like a sore thumb in my upstairs hallway. It dressed it up with minimal effort. It does dent easily so not good for an area where it can be bumped. Otherwise its perfect. few drops of liquid nails and done.

Mine is not like the picture --- it was split to go around a ceiling fixture and did not have the small rosette in the center. I wanted to put it on a wall so it doesn't work for me. It also got some small scratches/dents at the edge probably because Amazon put it in a box along with a heavy case of bottled water. Going back.

We are using this medallion to place in an octagonal bathroom window for night privacy. I plan on putting it on shutter type hinge, but for now We just prop it up on the sill. It is a complemetary shape for an octagon, and very insulating (Because of its low density polystyrene material). I also painted the back white so that it looks better from outside, but when I add the hinge it will get attached to a thin board to polish the look ( The 1/2 bath is near our front door). This Ekena company has created a brilliant niche for itself.
