This neck is not red in any way. I will say that It’s a beautiful neck. I opened it up at my place of work when it was delivered and everyone agreed it’s very pretty. But it’s not red at all as everyone else also agreed. The pictures they show on Amazon are a brownish red. It’s actually a brown that is possibly approaching an orange/yellow color. And that’s my only major complaint. I have included some pictures and even they don’t really show it’s correct color but to call it red is not genuine. It has a few spots where there were minor blowouts when drilling the holes for the tuners/machine heads. They just went with it and it will probably be okay and unseen once the tuners are installed. There was a small chip on the face of the head but you can’t see it from more than 3’ away.I wasn’t expecting much from a neck made in China as I have bought 4 now. 3 black ones and this one. This one is probably the nicest one yet but 2 were a close second and one was total garbage. Ordering bootleg wooden parts from any country is definitely a crap shoot. All the necks I have ever ordered needed to be fully worked to even begin to be able to play without fret buzz. I’m talking having the neck straightened via the truss rod, then having the frets leveled and crowned and polished. I am an amateur luthier so I have been doing this myself with some level of success but don’t expect to slap this on and have it play right or at all. You honestly shouldn’t expect that with any neck you buy and put on a guitar. Even if you get it from Fender it will need fine tuning even after it’s properly installed. Beautiful neck. Not in anyway red colored.
