Certified Luthier with 20+ Years experience, running two repair shops in 2 separate states, employing 6 other luthiers...these may be the nicest no-name replacement necks I have ever come across, especially considering the price. The only thing that would make these better would be quartersawn wood, but the price would go up considerably for that.These came out of the box extremely flat, with significantly better-than-average fretwork, and have really nice finish work done on them too. That is of note to anyone buying a half-paddle version with plans to cut their own headstock shape. These do have a light matte finish on them, so if you cut your own shape, you will need to overspray.I originally ordered both the rosewood fb half-paddle and the maple fb half paddle. One of the maples had clearly been sitting in a warehouse for a long time and had cracked from the heel to the middle of the neck and the fretboard had separated. All of the rosewood boards were excellent. Returned the one bad maple for another rosewood. Would appear they have discontinued the maple anyway.100% would recommend.

This is neck is alright. The frets definitely need some work, but the neck is straight. The reason I’m giving it three stars is because the neck profile is very skinny, which it does not mention in the description. It’s a modern C, which is too skinny for me. Also, at the end of the neck, near the 22nd fret, the fret board is cracking and crumbling off of the neck. It looks bad. Also at the 2nd fret, along the side of the fretboard it looks like their router tore out some grain and they just filled it with wood filler because it’s all white and chalky. Anyway, I think I may have just gotten a bad one, but still a bummer to get a crap neck for $70 when I’ve gotten much better for $50

I ended up not using it but was not because of the product. This was better than I thought it would be and high quality for the price. Would not hesitate to order this.

This thing looks great. The frets look straight and the edges feel good. Love the toasted maple color. I would definitely buy another.

Nice and straight out the box, love the roasted maple look. Has a smooth finish, nice an high frets, cleans edges. I havent cut out the headstock yet ut am glad its a half paddle so i have room to work with. Good pricing too

Beautiful neck and well priced. Some fret work needed, but honestly expected and welcomed given this is a hands on custom build project.
