I hate leaving less than 5 star reviews but this one is necessary. If you don’t have someone strong to put the batteries in good luck. I almost gave up and returned it. I dread the day they need to be changed because they don’t have the little ribbon under that will pop out tight batteries. I have never had any product with as much difficulty placing batteries. Also you have to have envelope in exactly right to get it to open. I will end up using my old fashioned opener I’m sure. The best part was the roller stamp to cover your address before tossing things in the trash. Thats why I gave it 3 stars not less.

Wow, I do not miss ripping off my address from junk mail. The ink roller is a joy to use! I open every letter with the letter opener as well. Both tools make getting the mail ( which is usually junk) a whole lot more pleasant. Thoroughly recommend this set!

I am concerned about document security, and have a box of old checks, credit card offers, bank statements, etc.... I have tried shredding, end up burning lots in campfires. This will be very helpful for the "not too serious" documents. If you go over something once, it makes it difficult to read, go over twice and it is not able to be read. Prints Chinese characters, I believe, along with some letters. The ink is thick, and negative is the it is slow drying, especially on plastic coated, like many mailing labels. But thick enough to quickly hide account numbers or anything you don't want someone else to have. The other piece of this is a letter opener, takes 4 AA batteries, not included. Two little razor wheels that cut a tiny strip off the side or end of your letter. I learned a quick tap on the table, before you cut the opposite end limits the number of sliced letters you get. There is a little learning curve to using it, but not difficult once you get the hang of it. Helpful if you get a lot of mail.Good set, I am more likely to use the ink roller more than the letter opener, but will be nice when returning from vacation and having a stack of mail to open.

This is mostly gimmick and not worth the trouble to use. Battery replacement is not easy. Takes more than one swipe to effectively black-out. Way more trouble than what it's worth. Still can't beat a regular letter opener and shredder. Cannot recommend this one.
