It can also be used to collect pet hair dropped for spinning to make yarn works with commemorative significance. Such as cat hair, rabbit hair, dog hair and so on. It doesn't take very long to get the hang of treadling, drafting, and generally keeping track of all the mechanics of turning fiber into yarn

I absolutely love this! Works great and worth the wait time. That being said. If your learning, plying, and making something thicker like a blanket yarn. Spend the extra and get the 8oz machine. This spinner is great but The extra4oz will come in handy. Once you start you wont want to stop spinning. As of this review this spinner works great with synthetic sari silk fibers, sari silk, alpaca, mohair, sheep wool, and cotton.

***UPDATED**** I wanted to update this review to say that this item works very well. I would encourage anyone to buy it to try to learn how to spin on an electric spinner. That being said it is definitely not big enough to ply 4 ounces of fiber into a 2ply yarn. You will need the yellow one that says it’s 8 ounce sized. This one is suitable for spinning 4 ounces of fiber as a single, but not plied. The yellow 8 ounce spinning wheel is just as good as this one. And it’s difficult to tell from the pictures, but it’s much bigger to accommodate a plied yarn.I wanted to leave a review because there are none. It was very difficult to make a decision on which to buy with 0 reviews. I’m not sponsored, it wasn’t free to me, I bought it. That being said, I am aware there are $500+ options available. That’s not in my price range. I am a hobby spinner and I won’t be dedicating my life to this, just spinning for fun and my own enjoyment. This was perfectly within my price range. The spinner comes packaged very well. Very securely. The shipping process is a bummer as it comes from the factory so it took a few weeks, but the listing says that upfront do you know what you’re getting. The build quality is actually very good. I’m impressed with the pieces and fit and overall feel of the machine. It doesn’t come with any instructions 🤣but that’s ok. It does come with yarn pre spun on the spindle so you can sort out how to thread it easily. I searched out videos and learned other ways. It’s easy to use, has the same learning curve I’m sure any wheel does and I am enjoying it. Overall, if you’re thinking about it, just go for it. If you’re new to spinning like me, you won’t be disappointed. I think it’s great and going to work just fine for my purposes. I would be curious if there was a way to get more spindles?

Great little spinning wheel at a very affordable price. It arrived ready to spin with two small (about an ounce each) bags of natural white wool fiber, foot controller (to pause the motor), a 12 volt a/c adapter plug, three bobbins, and a pouch containing accessories, replacement belts and a threading hook. The unit is solid and stays put while in use. The speed is great, I never can see myself using the highest speed, so 850rpm is more than enough to spin my yarn. It is quiet and compact. I purchased a bag intended for a small Cricut Joy machine/iron combo and it fit the spinner, spools and all accessories as if it was made for it! I am so glad I did not spend $300-$800 on a higher priced electric spinner! Great for beginners because you can control the speed and not worry about coordinating your treadling! I do not use the foot controller that comes with this, because it is easier for me to pause the wheel by turning the speed control knob to off. I also purchased a rechargeable “TalentCell” battery in a size compatible with this little wheel so I could spin outdoors or when away from an electrical source.

Definitely 3-D printed with some less-than-perfect finishing (particularly on the wiring for the treadle), but a nice, budget-friendly option for someone who isn't ready to invest in a more expensive machine. Came with lots of spare parts, which is always a plus. I just ran it for nearly 8 hours, *mostly* continuous, adding twist to an unspun so I can ply it, with no mechanical issues once I realized I'd over-tensioned the bobbin. That took me a while since the language on the instruction sheet did not line up with how I perceived the problem. It's actually a pretty comprehensive troubleshooting/operating instruction sheet, but I highly recommend Dreaming Robots' tutorials, even if they say they're for one specific nano spinner. Stuff lines up.Could be simpler to use if the switch and knob were closer together and/or on the same side of the machine as the orifice, but that might just be me because I've never spun before. It's just not intuitive to me. It does give me an option on either side of the machine to start or stop, which gives me the option to use either hand (since I wanted to see if I could use it in bed, without using my feet on the treadle - completely possible!).Edit: The seller assures me that extra bobbins are available to fit this machine. I'm supposed to order the yellow bobbins they list and message them that I want the black ones.

Decent! Casual spinner with a wheel and spindles but never an e-spinner...so can't comment vs. other e-spinner makes. Happy with its functionality and build quality for the price. It came with extra drive band, hooks, Allen wrench, bits and bobs and what I think is an orifice reducer, plus the bobbins and some long staple wool samples. Directions are sparse so it took me awhile to figure out how to hook up the foot pedal - speed and direction are controlled by a knob and the foot pedal works as a pause button when the machine is on and spinning (helpful but weird although this may be normal for e-spinners). It's fairly quiet and has adjustable tension plus a little button to wind your loose yarn end on when taking breaks. Pleased!

I have a more expensive electric spinner and saw this, wondering if it would be just as good. While it’s smaller than mine, decided to give it a try. Was it going to be more junk from China? It’s turned out to be worth it. It actually has a feature mine doesn’t have and it’s a place to tie it off when you take a break from spinning. The tension is adjustable with an elastic band. Came with some fiber to play with. Definitely worth the cost for a beginner or someone who doesn’t need a large spool. There won’t be anywhere to get more spools or to replace the belt, but worth the cost to get into an espinner.
