Ordered this 7-inch paint tray to use with a 7-inch pad painter. The tray was too small and did not work for me. Sent it back. I will admit it was well made and sturdy but also it was overpriced.

This tray is the perfect size, but is on the flimsy side. You can likely do better/cheaper picking one up at a big box store.

This tray is called a 7 inch tray. Be advised that the internal dimensions will not support a 7 inch roller. In fact, at the bottom of the tray the dimension is closer to 6 inches. A 7 inch roller on a roller frame has an overall width of 7 1/2 inches which will not fit even at the top of this tray.

I used a 7 " roller to paint smaller areas of the room such as behind a door frame . I wrapped the tray in plastic wrap to be able to use it with different colors. I like that it was very sturdy, not moving or sliding when the roller was loaded and that the roller could sit mainly covered or barely covered. using a smaller tray prevented paint waste . this is also good to use painting furniture. Seems useless to some however I recommend adding this to your D.I.Y arsenal
