I'm using these for Aluminum and they cut very well. In one of my early trials, I accidentally ran this into a steel nut that I was using to hold my vice to the table and it cut right through without dulling or causing any issues. (Yes, I'm a bit new at machining.)

I repair and refurbish garden tractors, lawnmowers, and snowblowers. I bought these to have a general set of endmills for use with my import knee mill. My immediate need was for a 3/16" end mill to cut a couple keyway slots. The cutter got it done, but suffered from it, and the slot ended up slightly over sized.I've done a little checking, and 2 flute endmills with long helixes like these actually work best with aluminum... with that in mind, I'll set them aside for use on aluminum.

What can I say, its a budget set of end mills. Does the job. Dont understand why other complain about the block for them. Really look at the price and go price out other end mills as a set or even single ones. Block just makes life easier, and at least its sanded and clean looking. Mill bits so far work great for aluminum. So is and does as it says, for the price, thats 5 stars worthy in my book.

I got this set for my Sherline mill to do gunsmithing, woodworking, and small work. They are sharp and come in a nice spruce holder to protect the bits while in storage. The cutters seat just fine in the holder and they do mill great even at low speed. So far I have used them in 4140 steel for cutting dovetails as well as on maple wood for precision stock carving. They work just fine. There are some others who think its only good for aluminum. Aluminum is pretty easily machined but I give it credit for steel work and for most of your general milling needs. Oh yea, do not forget lubrication.

I purchased a small X-Y milling table for my drill press, but didn't have any cutting tools. I wanted several sizes without spending a lot of money, being a non professional. These six at $20 for the set cost about the same as one bit and work well for my use with softer materials. Have not tried them on ferrous metals. Sizes range from 1/2" down to 1/8" and come in a wooden block. It would be nice if the block was labeled, but a Sharpie does the trick. I would recommend them for uses like mine, and they may very well be good for tougher jobs.

I wanted some end mills to do some occasional milling in my drill press, this set seemed to be a reasonable price and had sizes in the range I would use. I just know these will save the day some night at 2:30am when I find my self in a bind that only milling something will work and bail me out of a bad situation. That is the hope anyway, if any additional information of these I will update the post.
