This was a gift for our 10-year old grandson. He enjoyed putting it together, but it really didn't "race" as I thought it would. I'll stick with Legos and forget the rather expensive STEM toys.

Our son has a interest in becoming an engineer so the legos were becoming expensive to buy the builds to keep his interest of difficulty. They are better than legos because they can play with them once they are built instead of sitting on a shelf best money spent and they are so affordable. I would say these are for older kids like 4th grade (8 or 9 years old) or higher. These aren't small builds either they are huge and use every function of the brain a real stem toy. My son loves and can't wait for his next build.

Good price for a remote controlled car and fairly straightforward to build. But holy cow will this thing get away from you if you're not paying attention. Overall, this is a fun family project and one that has potential for development (just how many minifigs can we fit on it anyway?).

This toy is a great way to introduce your kids to the world of STEM. They can build their own motorized race car and learn about engineering, physics, and creativity. The toy comes with 120 pieces that snap together easily and a motor that makes the car zoom. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and there are 12 different models to choose from. You can also download the Engino 3D app to view the models in 3D and get more ideas. My kids love this toy and have spent hours playing with it. They have learned a lot. They have also challenged each other to see who can make the fastest or the coolest car. The toy is durable and well-made, and the pieces are compatible with other Engino sets. The only downside is that the toy requires 2 AA batteries that are not included. So, make sure you have some handy before you give this toy to your kids.I would recommend this toy to anyone who wants to give their kids a fun and educational gift. It is suitable for kids aged 9 and up, but younger kids can also enjoy it with some adult supervision. It is a great way to spark their interest in STEM and unleash their creativity.

This was the perfect find when I was looking for a rebuildable off-brand Lego set. The pieces were small, about the average size of a small marble. The set comes with four wheels, 2 small, and 2 bigger, and are able to connect to several different pieces in the whole set. The majority of the pieces in the set are connectors and my favorite pieces were these two pieces that hang together and are able to swing back and forth. Another thing that really impressed me was how you are able to rebuild the set into many different inventions. I personally tried making a helicopter, which proved tricky but in the end, it was really relaxing and after I finished, I took it apart and started building again! The pieces in this set are also very sturdy and build high quality. They never broke when taking them apart which I was very pleased about. I really recommend getting this set if you are interested in making many different projects as the set will last a long time.

This is a great toy, and will provide hours of playing time- not just because it's intricate, but also because you can make a number of different toys from the kit. It is expensive, yes- but it's educational and high quality, and the fact that it is motorised adds so much. Great for a kid with an interest in engineering.

Firstly just to let you know, if a piece of thid is missing then you won't be able to proceed in the construction. The instruction book is one of the clearest, well put together I’ve seen. The instructions are really clear. Worth to start with bricks themselves. They are strong as individual pieces and the Smooth plastic have really strong structure, even pins on side feels strong enough to not worry about breaking. I noticed however when you start assembling model they feels a bit flimsy. On top of that they keep spinning since there is no way to block rotation, but they look so great after the whole process.

This review is for the Race Car set, priced at £37.99This is a fantastic set that really took me back to my childhood and endless hours of fun putting lego pieces together to build whatever your imagination could come up with. This was actually a gift to my brother in law that's in his late 40s but has always enjoyed the challenge of these sorts of things and the satisfaction you get when you complete it.I didn't realise it has a small motor included that allows the car to move when you put in 3 AAA batteries. What a lovely surprise! It's made the finished article even better! You are warned that this product is not suitable for children under 3 but I would have thought this Race Car option would only interest teens and older.I really like the fact it's not just putting random pieces together to see what you can come up with, which was the style of years gone by. This is a challenge to put all the right pieces in all the right places. If done correctly, you're rewarded with lot of satisfaction and a great motorised car at the end of it.I'd recommend this to ALL ages for anyone that likes a challenge and to be rewarded for their time, hard work and patience!

I got this for my son, something to do over the half termIt arrived fast on removing the parts i was super impressed with quality of the parts, the instructions and the interaction available on his iPad, it did at first look complicated but once all the parts are out and you follow the instructions which where printed well its not rocket science ( well not yet but your young budding builder may ask for a rocket kit next 😆)This kit can be used to build several different items but my son opted for the off readerSTEM toys and kits are designed for just that to attract young children to science, technology engineering and math. Children feel like they are playing, but get the added thrill of actually doing or building something significant and challenging their minds and cognitive thinking. At £54.99 (at time of review) its on part with cost of another well known brand of technic building blocks. I highly recommend this kit to anyone who wants their child to have fun and learn at the same time
