316217002 Oven Sensor
The 316217002 Oven Sensor monitors the temperature in the electric oven. If the temperature fluctuates from the set temperature, the sensor lets the thermostat know if the oven needs heat. Your oven sensor might have to be replaced if:
- There is little to no heat when baking
- The oven is too hot
- The oven is not heating evenly

Ohm reading should be ~ 1.08 Reading was 0.2 I had to purchase an OEM sensor from a local service supply center. Check ohm reading before installing so you can return it.

My oven would overheat to 500deg (oven-clean-mode). So annoying & alarming! Figured I needed a new one & was hating having to shop & pay for it. After buying a table-top baking unit & realizing it’s limitations I decided to go for it. My husband took a look at it (2004 Kenmore Elite) and said it may just be the temp sensor…he was right! After receiving this in 2 days he installed it thinking we have nothing to lose & bingo! No more problems. This item was listed as fitting several diff manufacturers & it does. Works great!
