There’s not much stretch to these, and while the drawstring allows you to tighten the waist, they do run small. Because of the lack of stretch, they can be restrictive and uncomfortable to move around in. On the plus side, the material is breathable and quick-drying. Overall, though, I’m just not a fan.

I’m a bit chubby and have thick legs but I ordered the largest pair and it was a tad bit tight. I blame myself but I thought it’d be a bit more accommodating. If you’re skinny you’ll have no problem. Good stuff tho

Boxing is one of my hobbies, so I've tried many of these types of shorts over the years for my workouts. I recently bought a pair in a purple and black color scheme. These are fastened with Velcro along the front panel and a draw string waistband. Almost all of the shorts had both of these and the way that they’re adapted here worked great and insured the shorts fit securely. Preventing the need to readjust o hike them up during training.These shorts are lightweight, so if you live in a cooler climate or work out somewhere where it’s chilly you might need to wear leggings underneath. Unlike my previous cotton or jersey cotton shorts, these have a slit on the bottom of the outside of the legs. This is great because one thing I’ve noticed about these types of shorts is they can be constricting and limit movement if they’re too long or don’t have a little bit of extra room in the legs, especially at the cuff. Those allow for extra mobility. The sizing is spot on.

The material is a little bit rough, especially on the inside. I have patches of sensitive skin that gets rash from rubbing with clothes too much, and this is a problem to me. The pants doesn't have elastic band at the waist, so make sure you get the correct size. I like the length of the pants, they go just above my knees. The Velcro on the hook and loop seems very heavy duty, so hopefully the pants will last a long time.

These shorts are made out of a sturdy fabric, but it's not bulky at all. It's actually surprisingly light for how tough it is. They wick sweat well, though they don't fit close to the body, so that's generally not much of a issue.These are constructed in a way that's feels quite a bit tougher than standard workout shorts. Everything is very well stitched and is obviously made for combat sports, though good quality carries benefits in any endeavor, of course. The legs are flared a bit, which makes them easy to move in; I haven't noticed these restrict my movement at all. Kicking is certainly not a problem.The waistband on these is particularly well designed. It ties with a heavy cord and, on the front, there's a tab that you fold over the tied cord and secure with velcro. The end result is that your shorts aren't going to come untied if you're grappling or, for that matter, doing any other workout.This is one of these items that's clearly made for a specific sport, but that's really a good quality product all around. These might be made for jiu-jitsu, but the quality here makes them good for any sport. As a side bonus, these have a good cut to them and the fabric actually makes them a good pair of shorts for general use. They look good, in other words. I'm really pleased with these. They're well made, comfortable, and the quality is really a cut above the norm.
