Tested it when it arrived, and it works fine at the end didn't used it cause i preferred a horizontal mount cause my pc case has 11 rgb fans so it looked better this way, but who knows i'm saving it if I ever change my mind.

The 8" length was the perfect fit for the case I had which would not fit the card I got by accident. Made the card fit vertical so I could use the case / card combo. I tried to carefully bend in as big a loop as possible (2 - 90 degree bends inside 4 inch space) which worked flawlessly. PCIE 3 motherboard / card watching 4k movies on 52" monitor, inside of my space constraints. $50.00 was better than re-mounting the already too high monitor higher to accommodate bigger case which would have likely cost more than the cable.

I bought this product about 2 months ago now, and for the first month it worked completely fine! And there were zero issues. After about a month, I began to notice some latency issues happening on my computer. These issues gradually became worse and worse to the point where my computer was freezing out of nowhere. I had no idea what'd caused it, and ended up wasting a week and a half of my time trying to figure out what the issue was, only to realize that it was all being caused by this riser. Moral of the story, do not cheap out on important computer components. You pay for what you get. Do not buy this riser.

I could've swore I ordered a 9cm long one, but was charged and sent a 20cm. I can make it work, so no huge deal. Fast shipping, nice packaging, and looks/feels quality made. Itll be a few weeks before the rest of my stuff shows up for my GPU relocation, so I'll update then after I hook it up.Been using it for a couple weeks now. No noticeable performance loss, was able to make work in my setup. Works great!!

As a long time "IT guy", I'm always hopeful yet skeptical of things like this. It *should* be pretty simple to make a ribbon cable such as this (I've made plenty of custom-length IDE/SCSI/parallel/serial ribbon cables in my time), but if you go too cheap you're only asking for trouble. These days, pin density has increased making creating something like this a little more challenging. This one felt sturdy, but was still bendable where I didn't feel like I was breaking any of the strands. It plugged in easily to the PCIe x16 port on the MB as well as the video card.As you can see, it allows me to move the video card over 3-4 slots which uncovered my PCIe 1x slot which I'm able to use for a TV tuner card. The cable has plenty of room to cover this distance while going over the half-height tuner card.I'm hopeful that it will last.

I was happy to recieve the cable and my first impressions were quite good. The packaging and product seems to be of high quality. Installation went smoothly in my Corsair Carbide 275r case, however, as others have noted, the hole for the rear screw is blocked by the PCIe release lever thing. (Note for Carbide 275r owners: the PSU shroud is too low for the mounting piece to be screwed onto it, so the grapgics card will "float" in the air and only be held in place by the rear mounting screws. This worked fine for me, no problem). With my 1070 the cable works flawlessly and I get the same FPS as I do with the card plugged directly in the PCI-e slot. Great! However, after testing some games on my Gainward GTX 770 my framerate drops over time, the sound gets distorted (over HDMI from the graphics card), and the system freezes for 3-4 seconds at a time. When I check the event log it will say that the display driver stopped responding and has successfully restored. The PCIe-LED on the motherboard also lights up in white, indicating that the PCIe-slot is in x8, x4 or x1 mode (x16 will trigger a red LED). When i plug the grapgic card directly into the motherboard the system runs smoothly again. So for the 1070, go for it! For an older Gainward 770, not recomended. The customer support is great, and they sent me a replacement cable free of charge to try with my Gainward 770. Unfortunately the same thing happened with the replacement as well.

While this product does work and makes no specific claim to be compatible with any particular case, you should know that it will not fit a Thermaltake P3 case without a bit of fiddling. The P3 case has holes to affix the adapter cable to the horizontal support for the video card and this piece is not quite wide enough to reach all the way across nor does it have the requisite holes in the correct places.I did make it fit, with a little improvisation, but it's not as secure as it could be (not that this matters much - a P3 isn't a laptop - I'm not going to be carrying it around or even moving it beyond taking it down to add new components over time). It functions just perfectly as far as its nominal purpose goes - the Thermaltake flex cables have a bad reputation for not doing so - I do not at all regret having made the purchase or the fact that it's a little . . . um . . . different (that might be the strongest word that applies here) than standard (who buys a P3 for a "standard" look anyway?).I'd originally though to mark this as 4 of 5, but truly, they make no claim to it fitting a P3 so I cannot blame them for this.
