I use the product for polishing clock pivots (shafts). In the past, I wouldcharge a bell metal slip with diamond powder for polishing. I can evenget right up to the pivot/arbor with these diamond files for a nice butt-endafter using a graver.Clockmaker Here

I like the easy grip handle. The files work great. I got them to sharpen my garden shears and limb cutter. Didn’t take long to sharpen them and then they worked great.

These are OK for occasional use but they don't last as long as a diamond plate.

My clippers were getting very dull, hard too cut branches. I used these Diamond Sharpeners as shown in the video!! Amazing success!! They look new, sharp and easy to do my pruning in the yard! I also tried it on my pole pruner! Yes! It made it work like new! Added a little oil in the joint, now they are perfect!👍

This has a 5th sharpener. By itself, this kit is little different except that adding in the 5th intermediate sharpener should improve the longevity of some of the others:These items are light, and plastic. That is good! They are not designed to put an edge on a piece of metal. They are designed to hone an edge to razor sharpness. After getting these, I took two ordinary cheap Utility razor blades (one new, one used) and sharpened them BOTH! You only think a utility blade is sharp because, by itself it is. Compared to a really sharp blade, they are blunt! I then took a cheap “gift” multi-tool and sharpened the hell out of it. These work great for what they are designed to do and are cheap enough to replace when it needs to be. But if used correctly, they should last. (If you didn’t know, a Utility blade is a compromise between sharp and durable. A really sharp Utility blade won’t last that long before it would need replaced. These tools can prolong that if you chose to.)

Considering the price of a *nice* set of diamond files/hones, this set is "OK," thus the 3 stars. The range of grits is convenient, and the size/usability is decent enough to cover different uses. The honing part is basically a card glued onto the plastic sticks. I use mine mainly for various gun smithing tasks, and again, the word coming to mind is "OK"; not great, not the worst thing I've used, but I wouldn't expect them to last for more than a few years of even occasional use before needing replacement.I'd pick them up again for casual use, and use them until they wear out, but if you're doing metal work on a more ongoing basis, I'd spend some more money to get a set that will last for years.

these things are great.i have used them for years as a gunsmith and they are much easier to use than wet dry paper ,emory cloth, files or stones. they cant be used for all applications of the other tools, but where they can be used they are great. they do tend to wear out quickly when used daily but i have found as they wear you can use the coarse as a medium as a fine ect. if you do this make sure you wear them out evenly or you can get into trouble with a too aggressive cut on a finish polish part.
