Simple review here. I didn't use the item for anything. The title says it's a 6 inch fan. The fan is actually 4.75 inches. I was going to use it to replace a broken fan in a computer CPU. Obviously, it won't fit. One thing I did notice on it that I didn't like was that there is no standard connector on the end of the wiring. They simply stop and you have to strip them and supply a connector yourself.Either someone slipped the wrong fan into the packaging, or the title is misleading.

I had a noisy fan with a bad hum in my tower computer, I hoked this up to a 12v DC adapter ran my wires from out side to my Tower and plugged my fan in and no more humming. It is so powerful it dose make a noise of its own, that is good since it is not hooked through your computer any more.

running it at reduced speed. died after exactly 1 yr. very disappointed. now I have to repair my ion generator box again. not a huge deal but a PIA. You should only have to repair things once. questionable quality. I will be buying another brand this time and hope. Does anybody make anything that lasts???

This probably works OK, but I didn't get enough time to find out. For my application, I preferred reverse rotation so I hooked it up with negative to the red wire and positive to the black. Bad choice. It looks like there is an embedded solid state device that doesn't like reverse polarity and it blew immediately. There were absolutely no instructions, so I learned this fact by experimentation. I have another of these on order and I will be very careful about polarity when I hook it up.

I ordered two of these fans after putting two 10's and an 1100 watt amp in my pathfinder not to long ago. My amp was overheating very quickly, like only after 10 minutes of driving. They were very easy to install and hook up, just plug em right to the remote port and they turn right on whenever you start your car or turn your radio on. So far they have been working very well and keeping my amp fairly cool ago with blasting my ac..oh and btw i live in California where is it hot as balls. I can this product an A.
