Heavy weight metal. Smooth, no sharp edges. Does not include a gasket but it was not rattling.

Wasn't sure what to expect but ended up being very happy with this trailer hitch cover. All metal and very durable. I've went through the carwash several times and shows no signs of getting loose or breaking. Highly recommend this. Unfortunately, I purchased the Brewers version of this and they went on a losing streak the day it arrived. Maybe next year.By the way, purchase mounting requirements along with this because it does not come with bolts or fasteners. But it is a 5 STAR item.

Did not line up with the hole on my hitch. Too short. Dissapointing.
