Just arrived today. I've purchased this from Carolina Coop. I use it in the chicken run. I just let the old ladies do the work of spreading it.

Got this to make shelters for ferla cats. There's LOTS of straw, it;s clean and dry, and the cut seems just right. The cats seem to love it.

At first I thought it was another expensive holiday mini-bale, but it’s a full bale, packed with clean, cut straw. I used some for propagating mushrooms and it worked beautifully. It’s packed so tight that I’m certain it’s more than a bales worth. Very satisfied.

I rescue feral cats and we are on extreme low temperature alert. I use this product in warming boxes for the animals. It was not to be delivered until tomorrow, 1/20/25, but arrived today. Obviously the vendor was watching the weather forecast! The coarse wheat straw is the best for helping the animals retain warmth as it fluffs up and allows them to burrow into it. The cats love it! I am a customer for life as the people behind this product really care about helping the animals AND the rescuer! Not to mention this is a great value for the money! BRAVO!!!!

Straw is used for bedding for warmth because it is hollow and hold in the animal's heat. These pieces are so shredded and fine and falling apart they are not Hollow. Making them virtually useless for warmth. I bought this because it was the only one that would arrive in time for the cold snap trying to help out some feral cats. I'm very disappointed that the waste of money importantly that I couldn't get the cats as warm as they needed

Exactly as described. Very easy to spread because of the "fine" cut. Perfect for a senior gardener to work with and being delivered (amazingly quickly) was so helpful. Just SO expensive - yet you have to take into account the price includes delivery. So 5 stars!

It was softer than regular hay this is used for ferral cats for a bed. Hope they are keeping warm.

This is a big bag I got it for my outdoor bunny run. My bunny will keep warm for the winter with all this hay it's softer and small pieces does the job for bedding
