Rear crank seal on MoPar LA series engines 340 and smaller. I replaced on car with Crank still installed. It was easier than I had anticipated and unlike several I have installed during rebuilds this one has never even leaked a tiny drop.

This was a great oem rear main bearing seal. Installed in my 1976 Dodge D100 with a small block 318. Absolutely no leaks. NOTE: Removal of the old "rope" type seal was time consuming. I needed to Rube Goldberg a bendable piece of metal to coax out the old seal. New Fel-Pro fit perfect and most important, no leaks.

The 89-93 Dodge 5.2's come with a rope seal. The crank has hash marks where the rope seal rides. Fel-Pro says this part will work. I installed the seal with no problems. It's a nice part. Much easier than installing another rope seal, provided you can still find one.You have to trim off the excess after installing the main cap to make room for the oil pan gasket. I haven't driven the truck much, But so far not a drop of oil leaking.
