Use these flannel board pieces during circle time in 2's class. It was hard to keep their attention, but this has them interested for at least several minutes.

Arrived in a resealable/zippable plastic bag. Felt board with all the felt pieces was folded up inside of another plastic bag. Everything appeared brand new. This is one of the nicest felt boards I've seen. It also comes with a pair of small blunt tipped scissors to cut the felt pieces. Board itself opens vertically by unhooking a loop from around a button, easy for kids to manipulate the loop. Outside of the board has six long velcro strips sewn into the board. This is one aspect I love because this can double as a communication board/sentence building or a choice board using PECS (picture cards). Board is lightweight with handles sewn in so it's easy to transport. The inside of the board has four transparent plastic pockets sewn in. There's ten different felt sheets with punch outs of each theme. Felt used is thick and can be folded without leaving resistant creases. All felt pieces have velcro stickers attached to the back. Will need to use the scissors to cut the felt pieces from the board, scissors cut through easily. Felt pieces stay adhered and do not detach from the strips. Images included for the stories and songs match perfectly and they are done so well with the colors and designs. Pockets inside can hold all the felt pieces or PECS cards easily. Would definitely recommend for the initial use as a story board but, would also keep this in mind if you're looking for a PECS/choice board. You can add PECS cards to the bottom two rows for your child to choose from while using the top strip to place the chosen cards, additional cards can be stored inside the pockets.

Ever since I got this, my toddlers have fought over who gets to play with it. Normally they play and share great! So I don't know if this is actually a good thing, but it is a testament to how much they love the felt book. The amount of scenes you get with this felt board is great! When they have memorized and start getting bored with one, I whip out a new one and it's exciting again. Each set comes on its own felt sheet. They are still attached in 2 places to hold them in place. Scissors are included to cut them out. It leaves a bump on each piece though because its almost impossible to cut it flush with the rest of the outline. Each piece already has a piece of velcro on the back that sticks to the lines of velcro on the board. I really like that it is a soft type of velcro and not the scratchy kind! I'm still not sure if I love the velcro idea, I wanted a set that was just the felt on felt but this deal was too good to not at least try. At first I really didn't like the small board and limited space because of the velcro, but then I opened it up and turned it sideways and it really gives you more room to play. The pockets inside hold a lot of pieces, but if I stuck all of them in there it would stretch out the plastic and bend the board if I closed it, so I only put a couple sets in there at a time. I wish there was a way to secure the strap that is supposed to secure it closed up out of the way. It also does not want to stay on the button to hold the book closed. So I'm going to have to figure out a new way to keep it closed. I may just remove it and add my own with the strap on the inside of the book. Overall my kids absolutely love it, the pieces have held up to their rough play well so far, and you can't beat the number of sets for the price.

Got this item to add to my daycare routine. We do lots of stories and songs and having a visual helps the younger kids stay involved. This felt board is amazing!Other boards just rely on felt on felt to make the items stay in place. This one has Velcro on the back of the pieces to hold them securely. Which is best when you have 24 grabby hands around! These pieces are also thick! They stay firm and vibrant. The board has handles for easy travel and clear pockets inside for storage.My only complaint is that there aren't enough pockets to store all of the pieces by song/story.

Okay maybe you won't find everything there - but there are SO MANY pieces! My kid loves it. She's not too far removed from being a toddler and she played with this for HOURS. I look forward to tossing this in the car for those long car rides we have to do where I live (it's remote). There are 10 "sets" of figures - 4 stories and 6 songs. She knew all of them and was eager to play them out. Sometimes, their fates were not the same as the story or song. The poor little dears.That all said, this is pretty tough and sturdy. I don't see there being any problems with my kids tearing it up or anything. I just wish that it had another pocket page in the center with pockets on both sides! Instead I have several plastic zipper bags with the different songs and stories in the center that I just close the sides around. sigh. I really would've liked that extra page. It just does not look as "neat" how I have it. But I needed some way to keep them apart instead of just one big jumble!I think the price point is decent for what you get - it's a LOT of little figures! I only removed one star because I think the storage should have been better. Other than that, it's a great buy and definitely tons of fun for my kids! HIGHLY recommend for car rides (as long as kid is old enough & trustworthy not to put them in their mouth!).
