Flag Wind Indicator
Five Oceans' small wind indicator is ideal for small boats due to the size of the flag which comes with a bracket. The burgee is made using a stainless steel shaft, which reduces flapping in the wind and makes it much more accurate. A bit more durable than the plastic wind indicator as the wire can be bent to the correct position if distorted.

In a 4 short months, the sun will destroy the material. The fabric does not have adequate UV protection. We live in Atlanta GA and the wind is light. I would like a replacement.

What I did not like is the shipping. One of the products was bent. What I liked about the product the craftsmanship was good!

Overall I like the product but 2 issues. Flag material doesn't appear durable but time will tell. Second, flag rotates counter clockwise fine, but when rotating clockwise the top pivot point binds in one spot due to the deformity of the crimped bushing that seats the top loop. No recommended. Update. The flag material did not last one summer.

Pretty much a useless device. It turns most of the way then sticks in one place. I would never want to use this for racing since I can't depend on it.Looking to return it for a refund. DO NOT BUY THIS, IT IS CRAP.

Arrived with a crease due to the way it was packaged, but after a few days out in the sun, this has mostly disappeared.

Had to make modifications to make it spin smoothly. Pricey but what I needed in size. Works. Flag material will have to replaced soon.

I spent some time researching for a flag to use in my laser sailboat and bought this one. Although the boat did not have the proper fixtures for it, I made one myself and it worked great! The Flag was very sensitive to any small change of direction of the wind, never got stuck and it size made it very easy to visualize.After one year of intesive use and heavy wheather, it showed some wear but was still working perfect. I lost it in a capsize and immediately bought the same one again.

This little flag is a must for stunt kite flying enthusiasts. It is small enough to fit in your kite accessory bag but does a perfect job of telling you where your wind window is and where you should be standing in relation to your kite to get it airborne quickly especially for a parafoil stunt kite. The rod sticks in the ground easily and it is easy to keep an eye on while you are flying. The flag spins very easy with the wind.

We use it at the remote control airport. It seems expensive for a little flag but it works great and is great quality has been through some storms and has done great
