My neighborhood is fairly underdeveloped, and I like to take my dog to the local nature trails, so fleas... happen. Her monthly parasite meds have something in them they prevents flea eggs from hatching, but that does nothing for anything she picks up while outside. I decided to get these flea combs for spot-checks and brushing her after a bath, and they work really well! Since she has short fur, the eject button isn't super necessary, but is still appreciated. My cat, meanwhile, wants nothing to do with these things. She enjoys being stroked, and brushed under the right circumstances, but just doesn't seem to like flea combs. Thankfully, the topical treatment she gets seems to keep them away.

It has worked well for our cat so far. The package comes with two types of comb one for hair removal and the other for flees. We have been using it mostly for hair removal and we are very satisfied.

Love this pet comb. Doesn’t yank or pull on the hair. The ends of the teeth aren’t sharp. So easy to empty, the hair just falls off when you push the button.

My guinea pig love this comb. It is very comfortable for them. Also it is easy to remove the hairs on the comb, that's a very good design. Overall it has good quality.

Using a brush works a lot better on my cat.

These didn’t work well on my 4 lb chihuahua. The comb is very large so it’s prob much better for big dogs. For us, it just ended up brushing out a lot of her hair shed, and the button allows for quick cleaning of the comb by dumping the trapped hair. So I guess good for general grooming, but we didn’t capture any fleas

Pro groomer here:These feel a bit cheap, and the mechanism to push the hair off the combs catches most of it and pulls it *behind* the plastic so it's just stuck under it; once it's back there it's pretty difficult to pull it out. Maybe if there were large clumps of hair behind it it'd be easier to get out, but I haven't come across that issue yet. This would be bad if I needed it for fleas, since it'd be hard to get them out after they're stuck back there, but I got it for my dog's eye boogies, so I'm not worried about it. I usually don't use those types of things because it takes two seconds to pull the hair out by hand; the "pushes the hair out for you" crap is usually badly designed, like this one is, and honestly, completely useless. I'd likely be able to snap the plastic if I wanted to, it feels that cheap. It isn't thick, heavy duty plastic. If you shake the combs you can hear the mechanism to push the hair off rattling around...it should be secure. If I couldn't have requested these for free, I wouldn't have bought them. You can find other, better quality flea combs for the same price.
