Nice deep throaty sound! Took it to a local shop to have it installed on my 2004 Nissan Xterra, very satisfied!

These are on my 2006 Montes SS with the 5.3liter. Has a great rumble, yet quiet and idle and cruising.

I bought this muffler for a 96 2.7 Toyota Tacoma. I was hoping for a more aggressive sound but it still sounds good. Has a good rumble at lower RPM's but sounds more like stock when at higher speeds. I listened to videos on youtube first, some sounded aggressive and some didn't so I'm not too surprised with the outcome. The flowmaster rep I talked to over the phone told me the more exhaust running through this muffler the better it will sound. Overall I am still pleased how this muffler sounds just wish it was louder. Hope this helps.

Excellent item. Love the sound, gets loud when you get on the pedal but not obnoxious, and if you are not driving hard the muffler is pretty quiet. It;s not silent but that's the point of buying a flowmaster to hear your engine breathe. Gives off a nice deep tone and rumble. For those who like it loud all the time you may want to consider the original 40. No drone while cruising either which is nice.

This muffler is great for my car. I have a 2007 chevy cobalt 2.2 and it does make it a little louder, but not too loud. I was worried about it being too loud, but really it's more of it might be too quiet. It definitely gives it a much lower and better sound and it sounds great.

I got these for a 2005 dodge magnum RT and first i bought the wrong ones. The magnum needs 2.25 offset both ways, but bieng that the muffler guy i had do these knew what he was doing, he easily made me a custom exhaust for the car. Second my car has resanators witch makes my exhaust sound get turned down a bit. I thought maybe with 2 of these instead of the stock suitcase muffler would be right for great sound, but no not enough to over due the resanators. I will never mark down a item that i ordered wrong or had high hopes for, so overall great item.

Sounds good. Only complaint is it was not an exact match for the jeep. This was probably my son's fault though as he picked out the muffler based on a friends recommendation. I do not believe he looked under to see where the inlet was. The muffler that came off had the inlet in the center and the outlet off center. It was reversed on the muffler we received. This forced me to mount it slightly cocked so the clearance off the ground is 3 or so inches less than it should have been if it were the same. So make sure when you order you match inlet and outlet to the pipe you are ordering. Once you cut off the pipe and figure out the mistake it is way too late!

I don't particularly care for the 4cylinder fart can sound or even the "marbles being shaken in a coffee can" rattle of a V6 trying to sound like a V8 muscle car. I replaced the single factory muffler with 2 of these on my 2002 Impala 3800 non sc, and right at start up all I heard was a low rumble, and through the acceleration range it remains throaty and semi-mean sounding, though not 500HP Mustang super cobra V8 mean, but not grandma's wimpy Sunday go to meeting buggy either. It doesn't give me the raspy rattle, like the lifters are being shot out the tail end sound upon modest revving and backing down either which is a bonus because that just sounds pathetic. At highway speeds when the RPM's settle down around 2K there's no drone. (I have a replacement aftermarket glass pack res ahead of them.)I am very pleased with the decision to go with these. I will definitely replace them (if I still have the car) with another set when needed.
