Installed the 50 HD to my 2009 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi pick up. YOU CAN DEFINATELY FEEL A HORSEPOWER INCREASE. IT HAS A BASE GRUMBLE THAT SOUNDS AND FEELS AMAZING. I almost went with the 40 series. I'm so happy I didn't. The 50 series HD has the best balance of sound and performance.

It's a nice sounding muffler that makes the hemi growl without being obnoxious but it only lasted about 22 months before the welded areas rusted out.

For over a year I had a muffler delete on my ram 1500 5.7 Hemi, it sounded really good but had an awful drone on the highway (got kinda annoying on long trips haha). I bought this muffler to keep the beefy V8 noise and quiet it down a little. I’ve had it for about a week now on my truck and really like the sound it makes. It has a nice rumble to it and sounds really good when you hit the gas, I highly recommend this if you’re gonna be towing a lot as the drone is not bad at all. Power increase wise; my low end torque feels slightly better but I feel no real difference in the high end. I think this is an awesome muffler and highly recommend it if you want a good beefy V8 sound!

I received it as promised (24 hours). Replaced my 50 series Flowmaster muffler (9 years old) with the Flowmaster H.D. muffler because the internals of the old one was making a rattling sound. Although the Flowmaster 50 H.D. is typically made for bigger trucks and RV's, I installed it on my 2006 Nissan Armada and it sounds and performs really good! No loud drone sound inside the cabin and when cruising on the highway, I get no complaints from the kids. It is almost exactly like my old one, but the only difference is that when I first step on the gas, it has a slight smooth rumble sound to it. If you want a muffler that is in between aggressive and mild, you found it! The only con I have is that you haven't put this in your cart yet! Stop reading and add this item to your cart now!

I installed this muffler on my 2010 Ram with a Hemi. It absolutely gave it that "aggressive" sound I was looking for. I left the factory tailpipes and resonators installed and there was some modification to be done since this flowmaster muffler is shorter than the stock muffler on the Rams.At cruising speeds there is very little noticeable difference in the cab of the truck over the stock muffler. This is because the Rams with the Hemi have the tailpipes going out of the back bumper as opposed to out the side of the truck under the rear quarter panel. If you drive at a low cursing speed through a street where there are taller buildings on both sides like a downtown area you can hear your exhaust is there and sounds tough, so don't fret it if you don't hear the aggressiveness in the cab at cruising speeds... its there and the people on the outside of the truck hear it!Don't get hung up on watching youtube videos of before and after installs of any performance exhaust. They don't do it justice. Also, there are some Ram Hemi owners that take off the resonators which makes the exhaust system even louder. I would not do this as I don't want to be too much of an annoyance to my neighbors and I will want a comfortable somewhat quiet ride where I can have conversations in the cab of my truck and this Flowmaster muffler offers that!Getting on the pedal and hammering it down produces that aggressive hot rod sound from the muffler that you would expect. I noticed slight horse power increases already and fuel mileage increase as well! Im sure the torque is there too and I will find that out when I pull our camper this summer.

I put this on a 2014 ram 1500. Some modifications NEED to be made to the vehicle piping in order for this to fit. You do need to buy more tubing for this to fit since it is much smaller than the stock muffler. I did put this in myself and it took about 4 and 1/2 hours total. All I did was buy a 18" piece of 3" tubing and made adjustments with that. Also, when putting the new muffler in, you will need to adjust the alignment of the exhaust tips in the back to make them both look symmetrical AND make sure that one side is not sticking out further then the other because it will move around when trying to fit the new muffler in. I did NOT take my resonators out. As for the sound of it, it sounds great. It gives it that "aggressive" and "low roar" sound. Very noticeable in lower gears due to the higher rpms needed but still sounds really good in the higher gears. I did test what it sounds like with out the resonators on and it sounds fantastic. Very aggressive sounding and very "roaring" sounding. BUT it does make everything rattle inside the cab of the truck. Contemplating on doing that in the future, but for now, leaving it the way it is. Sounds great either way.I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 just because of the work and adjustments that are needed to make it fit.
