Folkmanis hand puppets are so well made and lots of fun. This one is a chubby sweet cat, a perfect companion to another larger Folkmanis cat puppet. I am well past childhood but love the craftmanship and whimsicality of these creations!

This delightful, comical cat puppet works perfectly as a prop for ‘Gertrude’ when I do readings of my ‘Whatever Next, Grandma!’ stories. The kids love her, and she prompts lots of cat questions.

I work in a day care and the children are enthralled with my new "furry friend". The space behind the mouth has adequate room to let you slide a finger in and give movement to the mouth. When I read books to the children I often have the puppet in one hand. He helps me hold the book and I occasionally talk to him and then put him to my ear so he can whisper comments to share with the children. The children love having him "involved" and are much more attentive to the stories I read like this. I waited a long time to get this beauty, but now I am hooked on the Folkmanis line of puppets and am checking out the line to decide which one to order next.

I buy one of these every Christmas...for my dog. These puppets are a great toy for you and your dog. Mine will choose the one she wants to play with, will bring it over to me and I put the puppet on and we play, she LOVES it, and it is a great bonding play time for both of us. My dog will choose one of her puppets over a solitary squeak/chew toy every time.My dog is a very intelligent herding breed and this keeps her intellect active and happy. The favourites so far are the fluffy sheep, the velveteen rabbit and most recent this fat cat, to which I added a bell necklace. Folkmanis Puppets rock!

Je trouve ce petit chat trop mignon, il est plutôt ressemblant à la photo. C'est vrai qu'il n'est pas bien grand, mais il a la taille indiquée dans la description. Il n'est pas très facile à manipuler au niveau des pattes, il faudra un peu d'entraînement je pense. Je trouve qu'il vaut son prix d'origine (qui est de 33$ environ), dommage que ces marionnettes soient tellement plus chères en Europe...

OMGOSH! My dog went nuts! (The cats were interested for 2.7 seconds then walked away.) I have an 83lb shep/lab and we play with him with this puppet everyday. We put it on and then "wrestle" with him, or have the cat try to take his toy and he loves it! He goes nuts! We don't leave it laying around b/c he would tear it to pieces, so this toy is special enough to put away when we're done playing. My husband has very large hands and this puppet is big enough so he can wear it comfortably when he's playing with our dog. It's very fluffy and soft and the inside lining is not itchy/scratchy. I know this is meant for kids to play with, but if you like playing with your dog GET THIS for him/her! (Just keep it out of reach when you're done.) We love it and highly recommend it....great price too!

i work for the american red cross & we can no longer find the pet manikins that were made by the elmira n.y. chapter. i made a few from folkmani puppets about 10 years ago. my idea for the lungs was a little off & i was never satisfied with them. i revisited that idea using the lungs & airways that we use on the existing manikins we purchased from elmira. these work great. the opening for the hand is easy to cut through to the nose to insert the airway, also creates the space for the lung. a couple strips of velcro added to the bottom closes it up so the bag doesn't come out when people breathe into them. small & light makes them easy to carry around. good quality, easy to work with cat to use for a cat cpr manikin.

I bought this for my 9mo old as an alternative to chasing our two house cats, that weren't interested in playing with her. This guy (affectionately named Mr. Mistoffelees) has been a hit since day 1. And yes, I am aware of the "not for children under the age of 2" but I do check on the eyes and the paws for any damage on a very regular basis. Almost daily. Mr. Mistofelees is the toy that goes everywhere with her, and when she's not feeling well, he doesn't leave her side. He's great for bedtime stories, as he is a puppet, not just a wonderful stuffed animal. I love that there's no "limp" feeling to him when not using him as a puppet. Oh, and my daughter is now 13mo old, and enjoys chasing our real kitties with mr. Mistoffelees :)Update: my daughter is now 3 1/2 years old and has gone through 2 of these- about to order a third. Not that they aren't lasting, I just like to keep one that looks nice for special outings and such, without such a "loved on" look, lol. Absolutely adore this thing!

The product wasn't quite what we were expecting. But we were prepared for that; however, because the price made us somewhat suspicious - it seemed too good to be true, and it was. It's cute and we'd recommend it for anyone who is going to use it with children. We were going to use it in a short film, but it doesn't quite meet our needs in the way that the seller implied it would. It's more like a stuffed animal with the stuffing removed. The mouth moves by sticking your finger in the lower end and moving it, but there are no real facial expressions to manipulate. The eyes do not blink and there are no eyebrows to change expression either. It's cute and the price is right. Comes mushed up in a bag and requires some grooming before it starts to look like a cat. Our biggest complaints are that the paws and feet on ours were stitched on backwards, and the company failed to express any concern or even acknowledge the problems we had with shipping or the defects. We paid for two day shipping, but received the item four days later. We notified the seller about our concerns and they didn't even bother to respond. We're not going to send it back. Our loss is negligible and It's cute enough to give as a gift to a child or someone with a child. However, we will avoid doing business with this seller from now on.
