Brilliant design. Installation is very easy...the unit fits perfectly and the large screen is excellent for maps and multiple views. One of the best parts is the graphic equalizer. It allows you to precisely dial in the correct settings for your vehicle. It also has outputs for external amps and subwoofers. Great unit especially for the price.

First of all, the install was extremely easy and was great for DIY… The screen is big, the touch features work well and are very responsive. The startup time is acceptable for this price point.On to what earned this a 1 star review. After having this unit for some time and using it in my daily driver with an iPhone 15 Pro Max with CarPlay — The only reason I went with this model at this price point… The onboard maps are abysmal, the rest of the applications are junk. Using CarPlay initially seems ok. Using apps like Audible, Google maps, Apple Maps, etc seemed ok at first. Then I realized and started to be annoyed by the audio and touch screen delays. This was not only affected by wireless connections but wired as well. Not only were the wired connections not sufficient to charge while using maps and streaming audio via CarPlay, but they’re USB 2.0. Meaning the data transfer rates are too slow. Using either of the two provided cables made no differences, so the only option was to use wireless connectivity options (Bluetooth and WiFi) while being connected to an external charging source for longer trips. Alternatively you could use wireless charging solutions if available providing your phone is compatible and it provides enough power compared to the draw you’re using.If while you’re using the device with CarPlay, the turn by turn directions will have a serious and significant delay, both with audio and video guidance. So keep that in mind.If you’re parked and want to watch video on any app on your phone while connected to CarPlay, expect a video delay of 1-2 seconds compared to the audio feed. Apple support confirmed this was in fact the head unit and not an iPhone issue. There’s also no way to adjust for an audio delay. I find myself disconnecting from CarPlay and reconnecting often because of this extremely annoying lag. When you’re driving down the road listening it’s not as bad.When making or receiving calls though, you better have a headset or something because the included and built in mic are pathetic. And again, there’s an audio delay.There’s no way to update the firmware as it’s behind a factory passcode that’s not shared and support won’t give it to you. Support also doesn’t provide regular firmware updates so consider this an entirely disposable head unit to get you by until you can get something else.One more important thing to note, even though there’s an advertised screen size, there’s an uneven border around the usable display screen you can see from others that have shared pictures from.The brightness of the screen can only be reduced so far as to not be completely blinding at night, but be warned, it’s definitely not safe either so use caution. I hope this review helps someone as there weren’t many going into detail when I first made my purchase and none about the CarPlay latency.Save up and buy something else. This 100% isn’t worth it and I’ll be getting something else as soon as I can.

Easy to install back up wasn’t plug and play a bit of a challenge but I do recommend that you purchase for the ram the tailgate handle camera if you mount the camera given with the radio above license plate when lower tailgate it hits the camera. Also, the brown wire is confusing so cut it at the can bus then you won’t have a problem, some say, stripped the rubber off and connect it between the can bus and the pin plug and factory support is awesome

Worked fine at first now it seems to have infected my truck and the climate control system stops working as long as the stereo system is hooked up, as soon as I unhook the canbus decoder the climate control system works fine again, can’t seem to get customer support on the matter either, not pleased at all with how much this unit costed -5 stars

Great product easy to install and sounds great in my truck

It was fairly easy to install but harness had extra plug ins that I did not have any place to plug which confused me when hooking it up so I am assuming they were for a different vehicle model but everything else plugged in fine so it still works like it’s supposed to. I am hoping I don’t have any future issues with it but for now it’s runs and works all good.

I am impressed with my radio upgrade. It is very responsive to touch. Works great with android auto and Apple car play. Came with a free backup camera. Was plug and play with my alpine factory system and amp. 2010 ram 1500 great product sound quality better then factory. Highly recommend. Great price as well
