Why would they sell this as a single item when two are necessary for the product to function. Super weird.

I finally caved and bought the extension and it really made moving a mattress easier than with just the regular orange straps.

The extension at first glance looks like it would be very weak. Very lightweight strap and minimal stitching on the loops had me concerned somewhat. Overall I think it’s well worth the price and the simple design saved our backs moving several items out. Not sure I would use it for super heavy items like solid oak pieces or fridges but we moved beds, dressers and other items without issue.

This should come with the forearm forklift, but it doesn't. Helps to hold base of straps nearer to center and limits tension on dresser legs while preventing straps from coming out if briefly not under tension.

I was not able to use these on my dressers or couch. I was not able to use them on any of my big items as they were very ackward and difficult to get under the furniture we were trying to move. The dolly worked much better so they were really just a waste of money for me since I couldn't use then at all

These are amazing and work really well! I have moved apartments many times and it is always awful moving the big stuff. If you use these extension straps properly it helps a lot. My boyfriend and I used the original Forearm Forklifts plus the extension strap to move a 7-foot couch, king-sized mattress, clunky queen-sized futon. I've moved these same items before without the Forearm Forklifts setup and, while do-able with 2 people, was definitely difficult and very tiring. These straps made a significant difference. It makes moving big items much easier on the arms and lower back because you don't have to fully extend your arms or bend you back a certain way to get a good grip on the edge of the mattress or the rounded arm of a couch. This allows for proper lifting technique where you can use your core and some of your leg strength to do the work. They are not that expensive and save you so much discomfort. I highly, highly recommend the Forearm Forklifts if you're moving and then this extension strap thing as well if you're moving any large bulky items.

This. Product. Is. Phenomenal! My wife and I have moved 4 times in the last 5 years, and we haven't felt the need to hire movers yet, having a core group of friends that help each other come Moving Season. All of us have those pieces of furniture or mattresses that are just way too heavy or super-awkward to carry and move.Enter the Forearm Forklift! This thing makes lifting queen or king mattresses a snap, especially with the extension piece. And lifting heavy wood dressers, cabinets, etc. feels effortless- all thanks to SCIENCE/PHYSICS! Bless you, Simple Machines!!I have a bad back, and it would be impossible for me to handle some of the heavier furniture pieces if it wasn't for the Forearm Forklift. We move a group of about 8 people on a summer-season rotation, and these are always requested to make the move all the easier. If you're doing excess heavy lifting, this product won't disappoint!

The product discription is a bit vague. You get one 3 foot piece that allows you to run the regular forearm lifts through each end. I adds lengh to what you can carry but you need to watch it for balance as this extension is down the middle of the item you are carrying. It worked well on a mattress, but needed extra attention on a dresser. It does give you more options on size of what you can carry, just need to watch it.All things considered, was better than trying to do the job without it.

So glad I decided to buy the extension strap for the forearm forklift (FFL). Couldn't have made my last move without it. The extension strap makes it so much easier to move taller/longer items and is really unbelievably helpful in "lightening the load" so to speak. I'm a big fan of the FFL, and if you own the FFL be sure to buy this extension strap, especially if you have couches, large/tall dressers etc. to move, as it will certainly help your move. Stairs can be tricky for the person on the lower end, but still an irreplaceable help that will make challenging items a lot more easily moved. As an example, I used the FFL with the extension strap to move my very old, very heavy, 55" Mitsubishi television that I would estimate weighs somewhere in the range of 350-400 lbs. My girlfriend (all 5'7" 110 lbs. of her) and I moved the TV from inside the house, up the sloped driveway (a total distance of easily 300+ ft.) and into the moving van with absolute ease, not once needing to stop for hand placement readjustment or because the TV was too heavy. The two of us alone couldn't have done it with out FFL and the extension straps. If you're on the fence about the product... just buy it. You won't regret it.
