I was a bit surprised by the other negative reviews. However, I supposed it has to do with how you intend to use it. First of all I have no intent on putting any type of magnetic holder on my car's finished surface, that just seems common sense. Secondly, I wouldn't expect anything but a huge magnet to hold my impact wrench, but that isn't why I ordered this. I wanted a holster for my heat gun to protect me and surroundings from getting hurt or damaged after using the gun. I wasn't sure this would work with my Wagner gun. I attached the holster to the metal cabinets in my shop and it is plenty strong for that purpose. The gun slipped a little lower than I liked (1st photo) but it was easily adjusted by squeezing the sides bending the holster to give a tighter grip. I am totally satisfied with this setup and it makes it portable to other places that are magnet, but NOT my car! I would suggest the seller just delete the use case for impact wrench to avoid others from attempting to use this item improperly.

This heat gun holder seems to work good. It does hold my heat gun safely so that nothing is damaged from the very hot blower end. It is made to fit most heat guns. The magnet could be a little stronger, but it does hold pretty well. It will be really handy when working with decals and wraps.

the padding on the magnet is appreciated -- the shape of the cone allows for various types of items to be placed in it -- it holds my Porter Cable drills with 5Ah batteries with no issues -- I can mount it to my tool chest, metal shelving unit or the stand for my Miter Saw without any issue -- very handy to reach for items that are held in place with the handle grip up for easy access and not lodged into place -- this holder is well thought out, is sturdy and useful in many ways -- I could use several of these but will pace myself so as not to drain my bank account -- definitely dropping a hint for Christmas

este soporte a mi parecer le hace falta un iman mas potente, los tornillos que sujetan ñla canastilla metalica al iman venian sueltos, los tuve que apretar, deberia incluir un tornillo extra en el soporte

This piece seems pretty much like it'd work... But, not for everything. Ironically, none of my heat guns (even one that looks identical to the picture) fit it right. Then the magnet isn't exactly strong enough to hold some of these tools. The weight of the power cord can drag it off its mounting spot. I tried a few different drills in it, and some fit better than others, but I'm not sure what model tool this was designed for.

This heat gun holder works well. I did have to tighten the screws when I got it though; it was barely screwed together and about to fall apart. Luckily, they used Phillips heads so most people should be able to fix it themselves. I recommend gluing it and never thinking about it again. The magnet is strong, and I appreciate the felt that makes it anti-scratch. Eventually it'll wear out, but it'll also be easy to replace. Can't go wrong with it, I like using this more than setting it on the ground to cool off.

This is one of those things you don’t know you need till you buy it. At my job I use a heat gun lots of times throughout the day and I end up setting my heat gun on the floor for fear of someone grabbing the hot end or melting something. I can stick this to my toolbox and solve me from having to bend over a bunch of times. I’m getting older so that’s getting harder. The magnet works great for a heat gun. The magnet is also covered with a cloth like material. I definitely recommend this. It’s totally worth the cost.

It does stay on the car, the screws thay hold the magnet in place , always comes loose. Useless.
