It’s work perfect on my Nikon Zf with a Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm F/1.4 II. Manual focus with the help of split screen, focus zoom, active point and peaking. VR work with the lens information that you have to manually enter.

Functionally works fine, no issues, but does not feel good screwing on and off. Tolerances are just a bit loose which always makes me nervous.

After a month of use, the adapter became slightly loose it still holds the lens but if I focus the lens a bit faster it will start moving and shaking.

This is a review of the Fotasy Leica M to Nikon Z adapter purchased here on Amazon.I use it to mount a vintage Leica M 35mm/f3.5 Summaron to my Nikon Z7. This adapter works very well, it is wonderful to be able to use this vintage lens at its intended focal length on a modern camera body. The build quality is very good for the price. The price is extremely reasonable for anything that could be used with a Leica product! As I acquire more Leica M lenses, I will buy additional Fotasy adapters, one for each lens to stay mounted on the lens for easier swapping on and off my Z camera. Highly Recommended.

I have two of these Leica M to Nikon Z adapters. The first one felt like it was built well and the lens clicked in firmly. The 2nd one, the lens feels loose and I'm noticing now that there is some rotational play in the mount both at the lens side as well as the body. This is NOT the case when using Nikon's own S lenses on the z mount as they are super firm. This is an issue because you will feel the lens move if you're turning a stiff focus ring.Another offender is the light leak. The example picture is 6 second exposure with the lens cap on at f16 (to rule out lens cap leak) so you wont see it this bad normal shooting. However, on a sunny day it will be creeping into your shots affecting it a little. The solution for the light leak is a rubber o ring 42mm inner diameter, 52mm outer diameter with 5cm width. It removes all light leak. The lens moving around in the adapter.. no fix there as the tolerances are just not as tight as they need to be.

Repurposes your M-series Leica (rangefinder) lenses to a 21st century photo/video platform, less expensive and more versatile than the native Leica digital camera system. If you have legacy lenses from the days of classic range-finder shooting days from the 1950s and onward, this is a good value for your money. Why pay lot's more since this is little more than a simple adapter?

This adapter fits well. The lens fits tight and no side play. It's very easy to alight the lens and body.
