The AC in my truck would only blow one speed, the highest, regardless of what fan setting I had it on. After some research I made the determination that the blower motor resistor, or as my vehicle calls it the variable blower control, had gone bad. Ordered this after reading positive reviews and took only about 10 minutes to change it out. Now I have control over the fan speed as it responds to each setting with the exception of the highest speed. When I turn my dial to the highest speed the AC turns off. I’ve read this is a common occurrence with aftermarket parts so I decided to live with it as all the other speeds work now. I use any speed I desire with the exception of the highest and its fine for me. My truck has about 7 different speeds that you see on a display that shows small black icons that get larger as you dial it up so I have several options of speeds. So if your vehicle only has like low med and high this may not work for you.
