Not sure who in their right mind would stamp or plug weld on a sealing surface if a pretty crucial part. Going to snap it together and see if it works, but so far, not impressed.

This is fine. Fits in place of the old one but isn't super gross. I'd recommend buying a better gasket, the one it comes with sucks and a fel-pro gasket is like 3$.

After going through 2 Dorman housings I decided to try this one it fit perfectly I did not use the gasket that came with it I went for the felpro gasket instead to to make sure there were no leaks

It is cheap Chinese version like discription says. Did not mention the gasket was included so I purchased one, installed it easy, so far no problems.

fit my 04 wrangler TJ 4.0 litre just like the old one. the OEM plastic cracks, so replace this when you change the thermostat if you still have a plastic one

Gasket surface had deep groves and would have leaked, spent 2 hours sanding and polishing surface to make a good seal. You get what you pay for.
