Really happy with this purchase. I was nervous with some of the reviews, but accuracy is just fine for measuring plastic film. 1 tic for every mil... pretty easy to read, so if you have trouble -- you should probably let someone else measure.Nixed one star because I got a blue crinkle finish vs the SS body shown in the ad. Not a huge deal.

I am a machinist and tool maker and understand the construction and use of micrometers very well. I thought it would be good to have a very small micrometer for certain applications. Very disappointed. Not properly calibrated. No adjustment wrench which is essential. Measuring surfaces are not even polished. Toy grade. Not appropriate if you are actually serious about measuring something. And the price is absurd for a "tool" of this poor quality. Should not be selling for more than $15 tops.

Bought it to measure shims in transmission control valves perfect when adjusting pressures.

I really wanted to like this item. I the quality just isn't there. It's not in any way accurate. This would make a good key chain trinket, but that's it. And at that price point it's way to much. I returned this item.

I had a milling project that called for a .600 x .900 part with multiple features that I couldnt get a micrometer in without disturbing the set up. I bought this mike, I absolutely love this thing! Quality feel, dead on with my 1" Starrett. Ridiculous saying it wasn't accurate. I love it! It actually measures slightly beyond .600 even though its advertised as 0 to .500 This is a fantastic addition to my measuring tools. I don't know how I did without it! No lie... get one! 🙂👍

I have seen a few reviews that are saying this is not an accurate micrometer. If you are having problems with the accuracy of this micrometer, you obviously do not know how to use a micrometer correctly. Very nice tool, very accurate.

This Micrometer is awesome! It looks cool and is very handy. This is one of those tools that you don't use often, but are super good to have. They are really only good for +/- .005 tolerances, but can usually hit numbers right on. I wouldn't trust them on anything too critical, though. I definately suggest picking a pair of these up!

I think these are mainly just a novelty item. The quality of these miniature micrometers is not sufficient if you actually do precision machining for a living. Personally, I modified mine to work as a key chain. I'm more than happy with it as a key chain.
