About this item

  • [IMPROVED SAFETY] The boots provide a comfortable fit for your horse's lower legs, shielding them from painful bites. This helps lower the stress that can cause joint irritation, hoof injuries, and muscle fatigue. Additionally, they significantly decrease the discomfort of stirrups and are ideal for use in the pasture.
  • [QUALITY MATERIAL] Durable PVC material ensures airflow around your horse's legs on hot days without restricting blood flow or movement, allowing for unrestricted wearing and preventing the presence of wild oats, burrs, and providing UV protection. This will keep your horse comfortable.
  • [COMFORTABLE FIT] The adjustable Velcro straps can be altered to fit the thickness of the horse's leg, providing a secure and comfortable fit in the barn or pasture.
  • [NYLON SUPPORT RODS ON BOTH SIDES] Nylon support rods are present on both sides of the boots to provide stability and prevent them from falling off or becoming misshapen, even with prolonged wear.
  • [HORSES FLY BOOTS SIZE AND QUANTITY] 14.5 inches long x 14.5 inches bottom circumference x 18.5 inches top circumference,1 set of horse boots includes 4 boots.

This is a review for the Foxlvda Equine Fly Boots. These fly boots come in a set of four. They are a good length. They rest gently on the ankles and cover the cannon bone area up to the base of the knee.I have tall Warmblood horses and the fit is good. They have a wedge shape that is wider and looser fitting at the top. The boots provide good protection from insects. There is a seam of hook and loop closure along the length of the boot. It felt securely closed. The seam is on the same side of all four boots, with no distinction between left and right. There’s a small plastic stay sewn in to keep them stiffly held up.Mine are bright blue.I expect these fly boots to last through the season, or maybe two seasons if the horse doesn’t abuse them too much. Recommend.

Ordered the correct size for our 14.3 hand family quarter horse. We are very familiar with fly boots and related products. On the plus side, giving 2 stars only for the quality of the build, and the fact that the surface touching the legs is well-made and non-irritating, and this product seems high-quality, as far as materials and workmanship. However, they are advertised as "fly boots," with the purpose of that type of product being to keep flies off the lower legs, especially if a horse is possibly healing from an injury. Most quality fly boots have some sort of elastic or stretchy material at the top and bottom of the boot length, to prevent flies from simply entering at either end, as this product would allow. The top and bottom edges are rigid - good for preventing collapse, but without something to allow the top and bottom to close more (the velcro edges are very thin, and do not allow for much tightening to allow for differences in different horse's leg sizes, or even in the difference between a horse's front and hind leg sizes. The way these are built, they wouldn't do much of anything to prevent flies from accessing the legs from either the top or bottom, but they do seem they'd protect from friction and other issues as mentioned in the listing. Just can't recommend these as their advertised purpose of being "fly boots."

Fly boots are a must for horse owners. Keeps the horses from stomping all day long. These fit well and stay on. I am not sure they will last the entire season, time will tell but they are a great value. I also like the color! Horses are happy!

The color is bright and made of breathable mesh keeping the insects away. Fitting really good with the side stabilizers making the fit comfortable for my boy in the pasture. Not overly priced.

These are great! My horse is 38 years old and gets terrible fly bites on his legs in the spring and summer. I love using fly boots because they truly protect him against those pesky insects, and I don’t have to constantly spray him with fly spray. I’ve used other brands that were triple the price, and these were much more affordable and work just as well, if not better! They are a bit big on my horse, who is a 14.2 hh Quarter Horse, but I did not see any size options when ordering. They still work perfectly fine, and if anything they cover more of his coronet band, which isn’t a bad thing at all!If you’ve never used fly boots before, they may be a bit stiff at first, but will form more to their leg as they move around in them. Cleaning is easy with soap and water and a scrub brush!
